I think this is the reason why there are few people investing crypto because of the scammers. They are running freely, and they get not caught. I think because there is no enough program to captivate them. As an investors we should be careful.

yes but it is really upsetting to admit that still there are some scammers who are running freely, scammers are making bad image of crypto in eyes of new investors but I think it is not good to think bad about the market only because of some people who actually wants to spoil the market environment, we should only be careful and don’t trust anyone, use blockchain as wallet to keep your investment safe.

That's right, we never think it in general and appreciate the market instead,  even though some of us are destroying our market reputation.
It surely they won't get free for long and someday they'll be caught and even pay for their doings.
It serves as a mirror to all of us and keeping a good image of crypto will be our priority rather than scam others.

Not until we start seeing crypto scammers get arrested for real many new investors won't join,I have friends that won't join crypto because of scammers running away with ICO funds forever ,no way to arrest them and get the funds out of them,the few news I read about getting some scammers is not enough ,the more there is an effective way the less scammers will harm crypto

This was the main problem why the image of the ICO became bad in the sight of many community here in the forum.
And why IEO became better than ICO according to what I had observed about it. That's why even I'm not in favor of regulations
on crypto, despite our coins will get steal by the scammer, I think it will be fine for me to implement that things.

Agree, in any business there must be scammers who take advantage of themselves.
The important thing is to remain careful and never visit any phising website or installing any third party software that doesn't have license.

That is why many thinks centralization and regulation will bring much sanity into the system. Many people have lost thousands to millions of dollars for good with their bad deed been investing in a project or ICO.

And what about the investment market of securities is not who has not lost money. And investment in real estate. And other areas of investment. Yes, any business built on credit is an investment. So now this difficult dangerous game is complaining.

I think there are scammers all around and this thing could not be eliminated in the presence of internet. Scammers are actually the guys with lots of expertise so they can easily deceive a man having no knowledge about something he wants to invest in.

This is what happened with so many ICOs in which people put in their money due to the hype these scammers would create on internet and hence lost their money.

If government regulate ICOs, i am believe scam ICOs can be eliminated. People would scam others because they know that law can not touch them as long there is no regulation about ICOs.

That is why scammers are a major problem in the development of ICO/IEO, unlike in early 2017 where such incidents are rarely found and developments in that year are very good. Increasingly here more and more are easy making tokens of use scaming on behalf of the ICO project, as you say it is difficult to reclaim investment and imprison these fraudsters because the cryptocurrency does not yet have strong evidence to do so, even though the transaction or digital footprint will always there but without identity information it will be difficult to do it.

It feels very much sad when we see scammers walking free without any worry of being arrested or a shame. We can see that in many incidents, scammers are freely operating their business of fraud to cheat and loot potential investors and bounty hunters. For example, many victims are complaining that BiteBTC is a scam and has scammed many traders and investors out of millions of rupees. But it is openly operating and looting traders. Most interestingly it has not been arrested despite several complains.

but there is a possibility that people who are now joining the ICO will earn much more money than if they simply buy Bitcoin. that's why diversification exists

I do not think that 85 percent of ICOs are initially thought of as a scam. I think that this happens in the process of project development. it all starts when people get a lot of money and then they are starting to want to steal it

Even if ICOs would still be trustworthy enough I don't think there is much profit to be made there since the chances of some ICO becoming successful have dramatically lowered because there are some many coins available on the market right now. We already have dozens of successful projects on the market and hundreds of altcoins available so I don't really think we need more than that.

Things do really need some risk to earn something and that's just usual with investment with ICO's.
You do need to take a risk to make some profits but it wont really be that easy yet ico's become shitty nowadays
and IEO is the new hype now but still have that kind of risk but much lesser due to security of IEO.
Scammers are everywhere,as long theres money involved these fellas wont disappear or we would never get rid of them.

If we aware of that, we will be more strict when choosing a project to investing with our money.

The legit team now are already eyeing for an IEO, they will not gonna have their crowdfunding in ICO as they know it will not sell anymore.
IEO is the trend now where people also give their trust, and we will know that the team really want to make their project succeed as they also need to finance the necessary expenses for listing.

This will result to the decrease of scammers in the market, hence the risk will be minimize.

Yes, this is why we need regulatory measures in the crypto world because the industry is full of scammers and they just run away with ICO funds. I think once these regulations are put in place, ICO investors will be in safe hands.

ICO could be in safe hands only if we get the system regulated. But again, those who are making some big money might not love the idea of getting the system under the influence of a regulating authority. I think that IEO has covered the flaws in the ICO and now investors face the least risk when they participate in an IEO. In addition, it is not just the regulations but also about the security system of the exchanges that keep the trust restored in crypto.

the risk will not be minimal. it will also be very high because there are still many options how the project founders can scam their investors even when they raising funds through the IEO
