12 days to go and more days to put your bets everyone. Philippines will be another ghost town when the fight starts because everyone is on their local TV, radio's watching and listening the fight.

Definitely 50/50 to me, I'm a Manny fan, but we cant sleep with a fighter like Thurman's caliber, very young and hungry to give Manny his last paycheck and retire him for good.

Then, Keith Thurman must shown something good in the ring like how his mouth saying that full of jokes. Keith will just run and run when the fight starts. Better to shut his mouth, then if not, manny will do it and will make his face just like a punching bag.

Watched some fight of thurman and he does seems running more of the time. Better to give and show us a good fight in July 20th and prove that he will make manny retire.

Keith is a decade younger than Manny and therefore it makes sense for him to run around the ring during the initial rounds. Once Manny gets tired, Thurman can go for the kill. But these simple tactics may not work to a great degree against Manny, who has decades of experience. IMO, Thurman should try to get a KO during the initial 5-6 rounds.

OK.. Let me summarize the positives and negatives for both Thurman and Manny:

Manny Pacquiao:

Advantages:
1. Overwhelming fan support
2. Decades of experience in boxing
3. As per reports, he is in good form recently

Disadvantages:
1. At 40 years, he is nearing retirement
2. Stayed away from boxing and got involved in politics recently
3. Floyd's refusal to fight him might have affected the morale

Keith Thurman:

Advantages:
1. At 30 years, he is in prime age.
2. The fight will happen in the US and there is a chance that the jury might be in his favor
3. Recent form has been good

Disadvantages:
1. His last win by KO was almost six years ago
2. There is a lot of pressure on him to win this fight
3. Betting odds are rapidly shifting against his favor

hopefully in a match, Pacman can prove that he is still worthy of being considered a world-class boxer.

There is nothing more than pacman has to prove anymore because he already have proven himself a lot of times already. Tho, if pacman defeats thurman it would means that pacman is still on his reign. Considering the fact that thurman is a very dangerous fighter who also accepts solid punches. Who ever win the fight tho, as long as both fighters keep the fight clean and will entertain us then they should deserve a huge respect

I think Floyd has not refused to fight Pacquiao, it is just the timing is not yet there. Floyd is retired in boxing and has not fought for almost 2 years and he may need a tune-up fight before he face Pacman. Every time Manny fights, his morale is high and he wants his fans to be entertain and happy as well.

I am not sure whether Floyd has made his retirement official or not. His last fight against Conor netted him more than $300 million and he can expect a similar amount in case he takes on Manny Pacquiao once more. My opinion is that he is still capable of 1-2 fights. If Manny wins against Thurman, then the prospect of a Floyd vs Manny rematch may be too hard to ignore for everyone.

If you guys wanted to see a war, I suggest you look for the Ward-Gatti, if I'm not mistaken they have a trilogy, but the first two fights are epic. Those two became friends after the fight and Ward is one of the pall bearer when Gatti was laid to rest.

I also saw that and it seems his son is also into boxing. I just hope he can be as good if not better than his father so that the legacy will continue.

It is natural to have some pressure because of what his father achieved. But what I heard is that it is his son's choice to do boxing. Training will come naturally for him and with Manny's guidance, he can be a top-notch boxer soon.

There could be a lot of pressures, just look at Chavez Jr, he did try to be like his father. In the beginning he was very successful, however, when they step up on opposition, they see the Chavez Jr doesn't have the skills that his father has. I'm not saying that Jimuel will not be great, but it's going to be difficult to follow what is father did to boxing. So let's see, and I'm sure many will follow this kid's career.

It's just training but i doubt that Jimuel will turn pro as Jinky (Manny's wife) is against the idea of Jimuel boxing. For me it's just television exposure as Jimuel is into showbiz in the Philippines.

I would really love that fight and I think Manny will be a sure underdog of this fight, this one is sure better than a rematch with Mayweather.
