Can some one explain why ScryptGuild gives less than waffle or clever mining, even though it mines many coins at same time & converts its to btc?

It probably mines different coins than waffle or clever and is not as sucessful in picking and/or exchanging them. That is essentially the reason for this thread - to compare how well different pools/services perform.
Thanks

'cept for CoinSolver apparently.

How about X13 ?
Are you planning to add profitability measuring?
It is available on Trademybit multipool and already on miningrigrentals.com

I am currently trying to set up my rig.

To be honest I don't have an idea what that is yet Smiley

I can see that Betarigs also has something new called Blake-256.

Right now I'm adding one new pool, which is Waffle Scrypt-N. Will look into the others later.

Charts have been updated for today. I have adjusted Y axis again as we continue to slide down. As I mentioned above I have started collecting data for WafflePool Scrypt-N. Will have some numbers in the spreadsheet tomorrow and might add to the charts in a few days.

It is similar to X11. (I am reluctant to walk out to the cold night to check power consumption, but I guess it is similar too.)
There is an "X13mod" SGminer fork (already an improved version). I get 15,2 for 6 Gigabyte r9 280x.
Miningrigrentals looks straightforward when setting up, but there are hidden tricks with the local conf file setup I had to find out through their great IRC help.
I am rented already at 0.002399 BTC/MH/D which transfers to 0.00832 BTC/MH/D in Scrypt terms.
Prices were around 0.0035 two hours ago.

3) To make Scrypt-N and X11 comparisons meaningful I'm using "scrypt equivalent" hashrate, i.e. the hashrate the same mining rigs (based on AMD R9 GPUs) were generating for scrypt before I repurposed them.

Hi, just wanted to see if I understand this correctly.  So... if my previous rigs were at 7 Mh/s on Scrypt and I then moved over to X11, I could just mulitply 7 x various data points from https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1VOAhFX1XRizdaTp71qnYI5pRh9VIZEQ51LHuGUmxri0/pubhtml# on any given day and that would be the btc/mh/day for X11.

So like for today / 29 May / on trademybit x11 would be 0.00170487 x 7 (7 was my scrypt rig hash power)  = 0.01193409.  Of course there are all sorts of luck variances and stuff which is why I don't get exactly that number but it's still pretty close.  I think I tend to be on the lucky side or just because it's more than 1 mh/s has an affect too since IIRC your calcs are based on 1 Mh rigs at each mining pool variation.

Am I close to understanding the normalization concept?  Basically just use my scrypt #'s because everything is like normalized or based off scrypt rigs.

Thanks again for what you do here.  If I ever make ROI i'll send some coin your way.  For now I fend off dirty looks from my wife :-)

That would be roughly correct if you are using AMD R9 280X/270X GPU's with sph-sgminer - that's what my calculations are based on. The actual ratio of X11/Scrypt MH/s is approximately 2.85 on my hardware, if yours is similar then the charts would work well for you. This can vary significantly if you use different mining software or hardware (e.g. R9 290 is worse at X11, 750 Ti is better and so on), not to mention overclocking/tuning. I'm working on a better way to represent all this diversity, but I'm probably still a few weeks away from having a suitable model.

My numbers tend to be conservative, so if you are doing better then it's working properly Smiley. MH/s shouldn't matter, I'm usually running more than 1 MH/s too, 1.5-3.0 MH/s is my typical rig. Can't help with your CFO wife situation, sorry Grin

With the new Sgminer version for X11, the X11/Scrpyt ratio went UP HUGELY to 4,36.
Six Gigabyte 280x did exactly 19 MH with the improved x11mod kernel.
Total power consumption went up from 950 to 1050 for the rig.

Suchmoon, I can see where this is going... You will have a very hard time to create a meaningful data with all these algo and miner versions with different power consumptions... Smiley

On a 290 I got 2.2 MH/s in X11 and 880 KH/s in Scrypt, so the ratio is ~2.5. This is with sph-sgminer and as Accordus mentioned there is a newer version with much better performance for X11.

I have not tried 750 Ti with X11 yet but from what I'm reading ccminer should yield 2+ MH/s, which is pretty impressive for a card that does 250-300 KH/s in Scrypt.

Six Gigabyte 280x installed in 2 PCs:
"scrypt" kernel = 4.35 MH, 1850 W
"dakcoin" kernel doing X11 = 12.6 MH, 960 W
"X11mod" kernel = 19 MH, 1050 W
"x13mod" (latest version) kernel = 15.1 MH, 1050 W

(Three cards are slightly better in Scrypt mode compared to the other three. The difference is only the firmware version. GA is printed on the PCI connector bar's white area for the faster ones. In X11/X13 mode, they perform the same.)

I hope this also helps.

That chart is slowly getting preeetttttty crowded!
Maybe you should make two charts: one with the multipools and one with the rig rentals.

Would allow you to get more stuff compared and improve readability at the same time.

I'm not too happy with it either, but until I can make changes you can use the spreadsheet link - it allows to highlight lines making it more readable. Thanks for the feedback.

Charts have been updated for today.

I have upgraded my X11 rigs to the new sgminer version that provides nearly 50% performance boost: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=623409.0

Results of this of this upgrade should be visible starting from tomorrow, perhaps a bit later for rental services.

I'm also getting ready to track X13 on TradeMyBit, probably within the next few days.

Can you guys add CoinKing multipools? I've also used just about every multipool, and have heard rumors CoinKing pays a little better, so I am trying them out.  Because at the current state of things, every .0001 btc/mh/day counts.

Charts have been updated for today. No major changes. Charts have one extra day on them due to a glitch with google spreadsheets that prevented me from moving some rows. This doesn't affect the numbers.
