ok I have created a new sd card which works but only when the lcd screen from the old dragon is installed.

Anyone know how to simulate a screen being there ?

I had EXACT same problem, even had new mainbord sent out as i thought no way would it be the faulty lcd (just display).

The Pi unit was not getting power via the ribbon from main boad, but would work it i powered it via micro usb psu ??

Somehow the lcd's are needed or tied to the main board/or Pi (i also reflashed stock image but that still does not alter ye ip adress etc ??)

I was not prepared to remove a working  lcd from a working miner, not worth the risk.

Out of my 6 miners only 2  lcd's EVER displayed anything !!!!, the others are blank white, the latest miners ave noo lcd at all.

I would LOVE to know what pins to short on the ribbon plug to get them running, as i am afraid my lcd's which just display white background wil eventually die and i will have no miner.

Think Lee need to speak to technicians at the factoru as i DO not think they are just plug/play !!!

To be fair Lee was BRILLIANT, he sent out 2 new main boards and a fan free of charge !!!!!!!!!

For some reason he would not send LCD as he stated they break in transit Huh?

I would love to have working lcd'd on all my miners but he would not ship  Huh

Surely you can just plug any lcd into ant pi unit Huh

If so i will contact Lee and get hime send me new ones on my next purchase as i presume they VERY low cost in China

All the best

update

I tried the control board from another dragon and still nogo.

I plugged the lcd screen from the old dragon onto the control board(new dragon doesnt't have a screen) and the new dragon powered up but still wouldnt mine.
The pool addresses are the same in both dragons

this is so frustrating the last dragon took about 15 minutes to get going.

Any ideas Huh

Use an IP scanner to scan the IP of the dragon.
Log into the web based interface and press ok to start automatically.
If you change the IP, the Dragon needs about 2 minute to start for the first time at the new IP.
If this didn't solve your problems, then look at the inside of the Dragon.
If you see 1 PCI-E cable or power cable that splits into 2 PCI-E connector.
Than you got a model with less powerfull PSU.
When these PSU are new, they can mine for a while, after a few weeks of mining these PSU died a bit and won't power up the Dragon enough.
Replace with a better PSU and make sure each module of the Dragon is separately powered by 1 PCI-E cable.
Do not use a cable that splits into 2 connectors.
Make sure the motherboard cable is plugged into the control board.

I hope this help.

He has no power the PI unit so there is no ethernet....

So all you guys with the 90Mh sscypt miners, where do you mine ??

Do you mine single LTC ? Or use a profit switching pool that pys out in LTC ?

Are they more profitable than a 1Th Asic mining BTC ONLY??

Thanks

Somehow the lcd's are needed or tied to the main board/or Pi (i also reflashed stock image but that still does not alter ye ip adress etc ??)

My image is of one generation older, have not had one of the latest one's without LCD to try it on.  If you need a image with different IP might try this:

A link https://www.dropbox.com/s/yz02suc4j24ium4/dragonboot-4BLADE-ENG.7z to the 4 blade english ISO.  When unzipped willl be a little under 8 gig.  It's ip is http://192.168.1.134/ This is the software used to make image http://sourceforge.net/projects/win32diskimager/ .  It also can write images aswell.

As it's just been tested on last generation with LCD make sure to use another SD card to test I dont want you to flash over a good image as I have not been able to test with one without LCD.

Lee, why are you posting only an itty-bitty picture of the back side of the A1 Dragon miner?  Why are you still unable to post large pictures (front, back and inside), especially of the current version (without the LCD screen)?

Lee do you know of any group buys that are doing fractional shares of your units? I would love a hosted 86mh scrypt miner but don't have 11k sitting around to shell out.

I sell Bhut Jolokia "Ghost" Chili seeds and other hot pepper seeds for BTC. PM me for details.

the 86mh miner  is 10999   pay 60% up front = 6599.4  the missing is hosting  fee    and I think it is based on that.

30 days later pay the rest  4k ..

Remember english is the op's second language  So I can see the confusion.   BTW I could be totally wrong but  I think I am at close.. so you are paying 6799 them 4.2k in 30 days.

I'm open to do a GB (see my history) if there is enough interest to get it going. I can host the miner in my data center too if need be, (US WEST).

This is not fair to Mr. Lee.  You can not take away his business from Mr. Lee's own thread.  Please be considerate.

Not fair to him how? I would be purchasing his miner at his retail price. Sounds pretty fair to me.  Roll Eyes

Sorry, I thought you are going to do a GB and compete against Mr. Lee because you'll get your miners directly from the factory.
