Hey guys, a bit of a noob latecomer to this thread. I ordered this when it first came out, had no idea it was going to be this big. Didn't even know at the time that there were different colours in the digital version. Went right to the Austrian Post online shop, bought 5 (2 stamped) and then it was only later on I realised they were in different colours. By then, too late, sold out =)



Anyway, received them today. No notification of delivery or anything but they arrived in very good condition. 1 green only, it's not too bad. Nice work Kryptowerk and thanks for the informative thread krogoth, just wish I'd found it BEFORE I bought them;)

I received my huge two-stamp order today (i didn't know that shipping was free with three stamps).  i downloaded the QR-Code Scanner app and found i got a black and a green one.

The envelope looked quite water damaged, but i was lucky that the stamps were put in wax paper.  The stamps are quite rigid and heavy which adds to their appeal.  Nothing like our flimsy US postal stamps.

Once i found out how collectible they were, i ordered 25 more.  Hopefully, that order gives me a red and a yellow.  Fingers crossed.

And for the math geeks, here are your chances for red stampa depending on your size of order (numbers on x-axis):

DARK BLUE = Chance to get exactly ONE red stamp.
RED = Chance to get exactly TWO red stamps.
YELLOW = Chance to get exactly THREE red stamps.
GREEN = Chance to get exactly FOUR red stamps.
DARK LIGHT BLUE = Chance to get FIVE OR MORE red stamps.
BROWN = Chance to get exactly NINE red stamps.

Question for you philatelic guys. Do you think stamped stamps going to cost more than unstamped ones (mint)? I know it varies in the actual stamp world, my dad explained to me before that some stamps have a high mint population and some used ones are very rare.

I don't expect many people will be using their stamps to post stuff, and I got two stamped anyway, so those who bought like I did probably helped make the mint ones get more scarce heh.

All depends...like you said...how many are mint compared to how many stamped.

    I prefer stamped to have been mailed not just stamped. In other words...gone thru postal system on an envelope. Those will be the rarest of all as most likely nobody has bought them to be used.

     Also the first day covers will be rare as well.

How the onchain shop (500 limited edition stamps) differentiates from the rest 149500 stamps? The physical stamp that you receive from the onchain shop (after filling the form with shipping address details) is the same as the rest of the physical stamps? Since you receive the digital token at the time of purchase, how the physical token looks like? (ie the right silver scratching area with the digital token is missing?)

For what I know the only difference is related the way you can buy the item and not the stamp itself.
But lets see if Austrian postage will provide a special cover/physical support to stamps redeemed.

is it possible the digital stamp (which is still in the first owner's ETH wallet) can be sold as well to someone else?

Meaning, the stamp "Code [1]: 4ouHxo" is physical sold to person "A" through ebay,
AND "Code [1]: 4ouHxo" is sold as well digitally to person "B" through "opensea.io"

And is there a way if you just have the physical stamp (of ebay) to transfer the digital stamp into your wallet,
since this sits in someone's wallet?

Good question...but wouldn't they have to remove the scratch off from the stamp and sweep the digital code in order to do this?
