Andreas Pettersson, one of the developers of the CS2 posted this statement concerning the high onchain fees and other improvements in the international Telegram channel: Dear Collectors! We have received your feedback regarding gas prices - and we have implemented several improvements, which are now live. Users can redeem presale stamps directly to their wallet or to any of their collections There is now an option to optimize your gas usage for existing collections (check out the sidebar for your collection) New collections have optimized collections by default Achievements are now calculated on the server side based on the contents of the collections Overall, this means the OCS is now significantly cheaper. however, we are still observing the total gas usage and we are keeping the conservative “safe gas” override. note that in practice you should see a big reduction in gas costs by 40%+ for an in-depth explanation please check out the FAQ at https://crypto.post.at/how-it-worksEven more improvements are coming (still a surprise), stay tuned, and have fun hunting the golden unicorn! Source: https://t.me/cryptostampenglish/5000Fees are still pretty high, but at least they are working on improving the current situation. In addition to that the whole ETH-network is just ridiculous. ETH Gas Station shows me about 80 GWEI for a regular transaction.

so I have received my June 25th order (my pre-order has yet to arrive) I ordered and received 3 of each of the 4 animals - is the "5 digits/6 digits" the number on the backside? If so, that is what I used for the counts below I got the following color/animal combinations: Doge: 1 green 5 digit (all letters), 2 black 5 digit & 6 digit Llama: 1 yellow 5 digit (all lowercase letters), 1 blue 6 digit, 1 black 6 digit Panda: 1 blue 6 digit, 2 black both 6 digit Honey Badger: 1 yellow 6 digit, 1 green 5 digit (all letters), 1 black 6 digit

Crosspost from Re: [INFO] Breached or Scam coin makers list for discussion. We can't look past this any further. Austria Post Crypto Stamp 1 (CS1) Austria Post Crypto Stamp 2 (CS2) These both should be considered "Breached" straight from the manufacturer. After market sales depend solely on the integrity and honor of the seller. If you do not care about the Non-Fungible Token(NFT) or online portion of collecting these stamps then you are fine. CS1 was found(allegedly) to have been gamed by insiders/post office workers due to the ability to scan the forward facing and uncovered QR code to determine rarity. Anyone that had an inkling about rarities and cryptocurrency hype could have easily pocketed Blues/Yellows/Reds and sent out the more common Blacks/Greens to consumers. Hard to have concrete physical proof of this happening but the upgraded security to the CS2 (inside packaging with a tamper proof sticker) proves that this was recognized as a security flaw. The attempt to fix this issue with the release of CS2 has still proven insufficient and can be bypassed by anybody with just one hand and a light squeeze. The tamper proof sticker does nothing to stop this from happening. I was able to squeeze the packaging and carefully remove the card from its slotted position inside. I was then able to retrieve the seed phrase and once again squeeze the package open and slide the card back into the slot. Little to no damage done to the packaging or stamp itself.. nothing a few hours in between two heavy books wouldn't fix. Now lets get to the major breach of not just CS2, but also CS1. Both intact, I tried to show the serial to maintain authenticity through this story of pictures. I took the previous two pictures inside but have moved into a pitch dark storage room for the next few. This is NOT needed for the effect shown on the CS2 stamp, moreso the CS1 stamp proves superior here but is still vulnerable to a flashlight and dark room. (This took me around five minutes, if I were a more nefarious actor I could have done a much cleaner job.) CS1 CS2 As you can see in a dark room with a flashlight the seed words and QR codes are visible. With a better flashlight and some contrast adjustments(Photoshop) these could be a lot more crisp and legible. CS1 proves superior with the scratch n' sniff label over it but still doesn't hold up to a dark room and a flashlight. I am unsure who created the actual physical portion of CS1 for Austria Post - will edit if/when I find this information. The physical CS2 were made by a company named Variuscard and commissioned of course by Austria Post. Security testing appears to have been non existent. Advice - If you ever want to avoid problems like this and work with the community, read THIS thread and you'll see how it should be done. (There is a lot of talent you would not expect in the Bitcointalk Collectibles community.) As this post is about the physical portion of the cards being breachable by anyone that has ever come into possession of them I won't get into the OnChain Shop mess going on right now as that would be labelled as a fail rather than a breach. Special nod to Capacity Blockchain Solution GmbH and the Ethereum Network for that. To sum up. Any and all CS1 and CS2 out there should be considered breached. If you bought straight from Austria Post then you're probably(maybe) alright. The sales that take place on eBay and in the Collectibles board here should be scrutinized and the character of the seller should be taken into account. If you only care about having the card in your possession and don't want to play with MetaMask/Ethereum/High Gas Fees then there is nothing to worry about. Both CS1 and CS2 are absolutely beautiful pieces to have in your physical collection. Note: If you can do anything with the QR/Seed Phrase pieces I've used in this post, go ahead as they're now part of my compromised collection.

Though I believe they can get redeemed for on chain - I am new to the crypto stamps I literally never heard of them until the day I made my pre-order. My pre-order was supposed to ship on June 25th - I got email (without tracking) that it had shipped. I then ordered more on the 25th and I have now received the second order but not the first.

I haven't checked all my Crypto postage stamps I received yet, but as a collector I want to have the pleasure of opening everyone's packaging, cutting the sticker, removing the Crypto and checking the color, it's a suspense. That's how it was conceived and created, it's a kind of cheat to check the color without opening the packaging. Each one does what they want, but thus everyone is aware of this fact, few are the ones who will buy on ebay or in the philatelic market. I prefer to open mine here, this will not devalue each piece at all. What is the pleasure of having a Crypto in the sealed packaging, knowing the color and without appreciating the Crypto postage stamp in its entirety I compare it to buying a toy car to offer a child to play and have the pleasure of enjoying, but I tell the child, don't take the car out of its original packaging, put it on a shelf in the room to decorate, one day it will have a lot value, because it is sealed. but don't enjoy it, nothing better than enjoying it.

Probably pre-orders were sent by registered mail (many pieces), and it will take longer to arrive at the destination. Orders placed on June 25, on the first day, probably, ordered fewer pieces, the Austrian post office sent by regular mail, and end up arriving earlier than the previous order. But if it is in Europe, all orders must have arrived at their destination.

I will present mine the average of my purchase: I bought 17 of each I already checked 12 of each : black virtual color on 24 postage stamps Crypto = 50% The other 50% are in the other colors. To complete the 20 variants, I am missing 4 (three red and one yellow). I'm overjoyed, I'm lucky that in the remaining ones that need to be checked (5 of each) I will get at least the yellow that is missing. If an excellent red comes. I have some 5 digits with only letters.

The yellow I'm missing is from Panda. If I can't find the ones I need to check, I'm also open to exchanges, I have others in duplicate. Even to complete a series of the 4 motifs in one color in 5 digits.

i would like to have a full set of at least one other color than black - hard for me to choose as I have 2 greens, 2 yellows, 2 blues lol
As my 2 greens are both 5 digits/all letters - I think I am going to go for a second set that is all greens.
I am still waiting for my first order as well though.

If you bought a good amount, you will get some surprises . I already received what I bought, 15 of each in pre-order and 2 of each ordered on June 25th. But I still need to see 5 of each, including the last order of 2 of each, which may surprise you

The Golden Unicorn sale will start at 08:00 tomorrow morning. Only one piece can be ordered per person/address. In addition to that there will be several Golden Unicorn raffles in the future. The next one starts tomorrow exclusively for OnChain-Hodlers. The strictly limited stamps with a total issuance of 999 items have a nominal value of 50,000 cent. The speciality of this golden Crypto stamp is the 1 gram gold bar from Münze Österreich AG (Austrian Mint), which has been incorporated into the stamp. Our first raffle in the newsletter community has started and more exciting raffles will follow, a total of 500 Crypto stamps “Golden Unicorn“ will be raffled off. Each Thursday, there will be a new possibility to win one of the exclusive Golden Unicorns.
On July 23, 2020, a new chance to win starts for all OnChain users: We raffle among all participants who created a collection on crypto.post.at which contains at least one Crypto stamp and everyoen who bought Presale Crypto stamps in the OnChain store. The lucky winners don't have to do a lot for this, other than to regularly check their collection to confirm the win. The raffle ist done via random selecton and all participants have the same chance to win. Stay excited for more raffles to come!
For those that want to hedge their bets: Starting July 23 at 8:00, the sale of 500 golden unicorns starts in the Austrian Post's online shop. The order amounts are strictly limited - per person, account or address, only 1 item can be ordered. All orders for more than one Golden Unicorn will be disregarded. Source: https://crypto.post.at/In my opinion none of us should give any more attention or money to the Austria Post. They completely botched this issue from a security standpoint and don't seem to care one bit.

EDIT : To collection addresses, there are 815. "299 will be raffled to collections 200 will be raffled in other ways (actually unknown) Just 10 stamps at the newsletter are confirmed. 190 unknown" https://etherscan.io/token/0x574317b5167521d2e3e34469a6993102fbbd92ed

As a generous gesture the Austrian Post will pay the gas fees for failed transactions at their OnChain shop between 25th June and 22nd July. They will send the ETH to our wallets. :-) And Crypto Stamp 3.0 is coming. Here the original message from Telegram (German): Liebe Fans der Crypto stamp!
Save the date - der Einladungslink folgt.
