Guys calm down about the PSU. I've ordered an S2 and will do a setup guide and review - if it burns my flat down then I'll let you know In all seriousness, I'll obviously check power consumption and PSU spec'ing. How did you manage with customs ? I know Juan from 112 does not ship direct UK. I've never had a problem with UK customs, but I'm VAT registered so it makes no difference either way - I just claim it back later. Also dusted off my 1500W single PSU in case we need to do any heavy testing for the cooling mods

I know it's a bit early for this, but do you guys think they should make like a s1.5 or s1 revision 2 so it would be 200 gh/s 200 watts?Technically its feasible as basically your cutting a s2 into fifths. Think that would sell like hot cakes

Think that would sell like hot cakes there is no reason to. The S1 was 4.75BTC when it came out, with a bitcoin price higher than it is now. It is now only 1/5th of that. In 6 months from now the S2 will cost <2BTC From my POV, bigger is better. less wires, more cost effective.

Time to move on to bigger and better things. If you really want 1/5 of an S2 you should start or join a group buy.

Dam, that thing is 2000W for only 360 GH/s ?!!! The Chinese do know how to make knockoffs. This thing is a longer, shittier, power consuming double S1.

I think the design is pretty sick though and well cooled and easy rack mounted

Is this maybe the new S2 Fits on a 4U Rack.... Looking NICE:D Sorry for so low res well since we know the power supply is contained into the unit and is 1000 watt... if that were an S2 that power supply should be on fire. these look more like modified S1's

Yeah I highly doubt the S2 is drawing 1000 watts and has a 1000 watt supply. you don't build out a 24/7/365 device to have its power supply pinned to max with an expectation it will last.

Draws 1000 watts from the wall Assuming 90% is actually wattage used with gold psu, that's only 900 watts.

I would guess the 2000 watt statement is inaccurate in some way It might be that multiple ones of those units makes up a 380GH/s purchase. There's only 64 ASICs on there, and the Clam is an 8 core device with a nominal clock speed of 320MHz, so 2.56GH/s per chip nominal. Even with what the datasheet said is overclocked speeds (420MHz) that's only 3.3GH/s each. Unless things have changed significantly since they published the DS you'd probably need 128 chips to hit 380GH/s. The datasheet also 3 J/GH at nominal clocks, so while 2000W seems high, if they are running the chips harder 2000W could be close to possible.
