Mine are stable and on spec, and have been from day 1. I put an EVGA 1300 in one when i was doing some OC experiments and it didn't make any difference. They run fine with the stock PSU. The EVGA 1300 is a nice PSU to run 3 x S1 on, but don't waste your money upgrading the S2. Focus on ROI before the network goes ballistic. Cool. Its running better after a recent restart avg'ing 1000 now instead of 975. I don't like wasting money either. That's why I took off some extra exhaust fans I added to some S1's cause it was pointless. The miner hashes the same at 50c and 60c so adding a 10w fan seems kinda dumb. I break even faster by not buying extras. The S2 is an upgrade for 5 of my S1's that I will sell. I can mine with everything for a few weeks then sell 5 S1's and I will be broken even on the S2 and making profit again.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438011EVGA 1300 for $150 after rebate. Might pickup one for my recently received S2. Is anyone's S2 hashrate stable? Mine is kinda jumping around 900-1000gh. Averages upper 900's. I think it's because of the PSU. One card has a faulty temp sensor and stuck at 127. I think I saw a post about that but can't find it. Is there a solution? Should I try reseating it over and over til it might work? That same blade is one that came up as not working a few times. I might remove that blade anyway to see if it's more stable because of the PSU. Mine is still not stable, no matter what I've tried. It clocks down to the low 900's after a reboot in a 24 hour period, although it stayed at around 980 for about three days once. Compared to the S1, the S2 is a fickle beast. I'm hoping the upgrade cards will bring stability, but you don't know until you know. Let us know how long yours stays stable on that reboot, please sir!

Oh crap, my batch 2 AntMiner S2 stopped working today, after 3 months of solid service.
We had a power outage, and after the power came back on the S2 was "dead". It wouldn't power on at all. I replaced the Enermax 1000W PSU with a Corsair AX1200i and the unit now powers up, but nothing shows on the LED screen and the unit doesn't register on the network. I know what the MAC address of the unit is and it doesn't show up on the network. I have tried two different micro-SD cards, neither of them work.
Not happy. Sent an email to Bitmain, hopefully they can help me out.
I received a new controller board from Bitmain, installed it, and my S2 is working now. Whew! Funny thing, the Enermax 1000W PSU will not power up the S2 any more, I tried. I have swapped the Enermax for a Corsair AX1200i to get the S2 running. Bizarrely the Enermax still works on my S1! Strange that it will power the S1, but not the S2 any longer, even though it previously powered the S2 for two months straight (correction to my previous post, two months of solid service, not three). A lesson for me out of this: the Enermax PSU acts differently from all my other PSUs. After a power outage, it won't come back on immediately (I assume this is only if it has been under full load), it seems to want to wait for quite a few minutes before it will power on again. Whereas all my other PSUs turn on immediately after a power outage. I have this feeling that if I had just left my S2 alone after the power outage, everything would have been ok - the Enermax would have eventually powered up in its own time.

Enermax PSUs are shitty. I have a ton of power supplies and all the Enermax died. They are gold rating as well.

Has anyone opened one of these stock PSU's up to see if its obvious what went wrong like a popped capacitor, blown fuse, cooked windings?

If anyone has a coupon they are willing to part with for a fair "donation", let me know. Thanks! (Just let me know what you think is fair and I'll take it as long as I agree!). I can order today so it just needs to be valid for the rest of the day.
