I would like to replace two front fans with Noctua NF-A14 PWM, and original chinese fans will be spare fans... They are too hot at their center after rotating for a while at 2400-2500 rpm, has anyone tried to grease them?
What would you say about Noctua fans? Is it good idea?

One of my boards has 16 bad chips. Does anyone know if this is replaceable or is it still within standards? I tried e-mailing info@bitmaintech.com last week but never got a response. I never get the full 1 Th/s I'm usually at 970 Gh/s then it will creep down to 930 Gh/s.

The weird thing is that when I do a full power off and turn the s2 back on it will show all chips working for 12-24 hours then the first 16 chips on the board turn to x's as seen here:

I've seen a few other people in other threads who experienced the same problem but I don't see any posts about resolving the issue. I've tried swapping the bad board into a different slot as well as pressing all the chips on the board. So it's not a problem with the slot and is definitely something wrong with that board.

My chips are OK now, but what does it mean (the same board, top in this list) when the board's temperature value change it's colour from black to this under-red colour? I saw it at temperature value 52, 55 degrees, without any "x".

AntMiner Jumper Switch- Bitcoin Miner Accessory

Global Sales start on July 31, will close on August  6th. Shipping starts on August 27th.

PC Power Supply has been widely used to power Bitcoin Miners, but users have to use the paper clip or other metal line to short blue line and black line of the PSU 24 pin interface before powering Bitcoin Miners. It is troublesome thing to short lines, and may lead to unstable power supply.

Here we are glad to introduce a new Bitcoin Miner Accessory - AntMiner Jumper Switch, which is to provide a convenient and effective method to start PSU. Only need to connect it to the PSU 24 pin interface, then press the “Switch”.

Only Available at http://www.bitmaintech.com

If enough people are interested, I'll order 500 and parse them out in bunches of 25s.  I've been meaning to work on my trust rating anyway.  Anyone interested?

Probably a failing DC/DC regulator.  Pull that board from your machine and overclock the rest of the boards until you're back at 1TH.

No, that's an erroneous reading.  The S2 cannot hit 3TH.

sick of a B4 rig that wont stop dwindling down to 8xx i started pulling cards out and checking the thermal paste.

so far 4 out of 4 have been absolutely terrible.

right now with those 4 redone, i am seeing 11xx instead of 8xx

i did not restart or reboot, just pulled the blade, did the job, stuck it back in.

i will continue doing the remaining 6 when i have some time but thought some of you might appreciate a heads up.

Also, while only running 9 blades i saw 980GH/s pretty stable (about 20 minutes to remove, cool, brush, unscrew, reapply etc)

My trouble machine has be running at about 950 for a week, so I'm afraid to pull it out and reapply paste.  Let us know the long term effect and I'll do it, though.

Bitmain,  any updates on the S2 upgrade option as discussed? A lot of us have paid a high amount of BTC/GHs for these, (at least I) with the understanding we will have options to increase hashing power very soon.

Right now the S3 is their priority ... as their online advert says "The S3 is selling like hot cakes". They are making big time right now on just one product.

I'm sure they will at some time bring S2 updates out, but I wonder if you would make ROI after including the initial purchase price ... and maybe you would need to purchase a better PSU to raise an S2 to 2TH/s+ ??. The S4 (or whatever it gets called) might be interesting, but I've decided to sell my S2's and wait. Somehow it feels safer, hopefully keeping ahead of the difficulty curve.

A short good news for the S2 buyer is that we will let the S2 to upgrade to 1.8TH/s or 2TH/s at very low cost which you can only image now in the August or September.
Could you please tell us will this upgrade require PSU replacement with more powerful unit? If so, what will be your recommendation about PSU power?

All sent by EMS, I contacted local EMS and claimed for the shipment and contacted Bitmain to check with their local EMS several times but absolutely no results yet!

This is the EMS tracking number results after so long time:
