ECC is doing great in terms of currently. WC is absolutely amazing right now though.. profitability on it is at >0.03 btc/mh/day at the moment. The only potential downside is that it takes 350 confirmations for WC blocks to mature - prices can change a lot in the 8.75 hours it takes for mined blocks to mature.

Yeah, I'm completely in favor of doing WC now.. I just have some ECC left and I wanted to remind others that now might be a good time to sell

Watching and mining Whitecoin.... how many confirms are required for this one? All mine are stuck in unconfirmed.

It takes 350 confirmations for mined WhiteCoin blocks to mature and coins to go from unconfirmed to confirmed -- that's what the wallet/coin require, unfortunately. With block times of 1.5 minutes, that's around 8.75 hours.

It kind of makes sense.... helps preventing pool-hoppers from instamining and dumping into the exchanges. I have rented hash on the way, so I wanted make sure there wasn't a fork or anything going on.

Long block maturity times definitely help drive the price up in the early days of a coin. The hype/interest in a coin is always 8 hours ahead of the available coins to be sold.

I have been on this pool for a few weeks and have had amazing results compared to clevermining and other profit switching pools! Also very good reliability and very low rejects.
how's your experience now that you've been on it for over a month. I was on for a day but the results were miserable. hopefully they're better now? they list this: 0.03372097 profitability/day/MHs I do much better by myself picking coins.

My questions are-
1. do you manually switch to the next coin? 2. do you have any automated switching set up?
The reason i ask is that i see the coins switch every few days (like someone is doing it) and have never seen it switch coins then back and so forth like an automatic switching system based on an algorithm. Not complaining i'm actually curious. thanks

WAH! Nicehash says we can't rent hash for ipominer because of too many stratum requests per u/p or something like that. Oh well... ebay is still handy.

@ibfragalot The estimates for it were off due to a bug that I fixed now. You'll definitely earn far more than 48 coins per hour on WC right now at 6.3MH though Cool, thanks. Another fantastic pick from you with WC. Great work!

@jjj0923 I'm not try to be rude, but I doubt you do better than 0.033 btc/mh/day by picking coins on your own these days. You could certainly do better than 0.0033 btc/mh/day, but please note the extra zero there ipoMiner tends to consistently beat every other multipool by 20-40%+. @fuzzi We do manually switch the majority of the time, as that's proven to be the best method for mining newer coins. Occasionally we will use either a difficulty or time based switching method if there are multiple coins we want to mine that we feel are roughly equal. We'll add other types of multiports in the future which do auto-switching based on profitability. @roadies I'm in contact with the NiceHash developer.. they haven't been particularly helpful so far, just blaming "the pool". I'll keep you posted if anything comes out of it...

I just accidentally sent all the whitecoins I have mined to a worldcoin address? Will that expire and be returned to my online wallet?

@illiki23 No, it won't expire. Where did you send it? You might be able to help yourself if you sent it to your own wallet, or get the exchange to help if you sent it to one.

I sent it to a worldcoin wallet on Cryptsy. My brain just connected WC and worldcoin. It is only one day worth of mining, but it could have happened on a different day than today.

@illiki23 Try getting in touch with Cryptsy support. They may be able to retrieve the keys for you and help you out.
