CINNI was a brilliant find by this pool admins! Thanks for pointing my attention to this gem. These were the most profitable (I haven't sold CINNI yet)  mining hours in the last month. Hope to find more great coins like this here in the future..

From my end it looks like the multiport is supposed to point to YC now, but miners are still hashing at WC? What's going on with that?

Same here.  Either the front end is screwed up and reporting incorrectly or the MP is not switching to YC.

Over on the ANN thread the YC dev acknowledged what I said about the PoW block generation rate being nowhere near every 20secs, but doesnt seem to have done anything about it. Seems like I'm the only person who is bothered though so maybe I should stop being concerned. Only real effect I suppose is that the 5M premine and giveaway of 1M YC from that in a cpl of days will be a much higher percent of total coins than it might appear, which may affect the price in a couple of days.

Yeah, the frontend was just set to YC for a bit but everyone was mining WC the entire time - stats will reflect that, just a display issue on the site for the past ~2 hours. We were going to switch to YC, but then didn't Smiley ~750 blocks left on WC!

There's a chance we will add any new coin, if they are profitable to mine or extremely promising Smiley It does help to know what people are interested in, as far as setting up direct ports go, so thanks for letting us know!

Also, just an FYI for everyone -- WC mining ends at block 10,000, so we'll be switching the multiport off of it then.

@RentaMouse The block time of coins is reflected in the difficulty, so there shouldn't be any need to worry about that as far as calculating profitability goes. Pure profitability calculations only require knowing the block reward, difficulty, and price Smiley

What is the formula for the calculator?

@saykor The formula is: ((blockreward * 86400) / (currentdifficulty * 2^32 / hashrate)) * price

To find btc/mh/day, just use the given formula with 1000000 as the hashrate.

Here's a basic example in Python to calculate profitability in btc/mh/day. If you want to calculate total profit for your own hashrate, just change mhash from 1 to 5, or whatever your hashrate in MH/s is.
