Some coins that fall low are not able to rise up again. And at that point, its better you make a small amount of money than make nothing at all. Half a loaf is better than none. At times most people think holding is a good idea till the coin hits the bottom.

Many people do not believe in another altcoin season. They are in a panic mode and they want to get atleast something from their investment. Typical behavior of uneducated investors.  

Even educated investors don't want to accept the straight facts because of the unknown market situation in the crypto market. They risk their money for gaining more BTC but the situation forces them to sell as soon as possible while it is not too late for selling to the market price.

The uneducated traders never make the right things correctly, they make a costly mistakes. The depth of the market show us some signs but only exprienced, educated traders are able to see these signs. The next altcoin season will be in the 2 or 3 years but only the traders who prepared for this alt season will be winners.

In this case, you invested all in the single coin. The biggest mistake of any trader who just FOMOed and rush to buy the single coin with all holdings. After the bear market, these traders enjoy their smart decision but it can take a few years. If you hold your altcoin for years and never take a loss from the market due to your greediness, every lost penny deserves to be excluded from your trading account.

 Putting all eggs to the one basket is risky selection, the old wise investors advise not to try the depth of the water with both feet. Diversifying the altcoin portfolio never becomes risky if the investors have chosen the right altcoins from a future perspective. The forum is full of the crying posts which written by the traders made the same mistakes. This idea never crossed my mind after losing 75% of my trading account in the single trade 6 years ago.

This is not the time to sell altcoins at ridiculous price just because the market is down generally. It is quite painful to see that most of the altcoins prices have really gone down below expectation but that is not the reason to now start selling at at the very bottom price in the market. Though, majority of investors are not finding it good and encouraging this season because of general dump in the market. We must believe that the market will pick up again soonest. I sell off at the bottom, ones I discover the team involve in the development of the project lack integrity and  do follow up on the project road map,  there are project mainly develop by scammers, individual that use ICO fund for personal use, such project cannot survive during the bull run season.

Sometimes it is very difficult to reach a conclusion on whether to sell or hodl for the true potentials of the coin to reach. Some coins can bounce back once they experience dip whereas others will not. In view of this, the holder or investor must know the capabilities of the coin through the studying of the team and its expertise level. I agree that sometimes being patient with our coins is not a solution unless we are investing for a long period of at least 1 or 2 years. If we invest in projects that already have products and have partnerships with various large companies, I think we can be more calm but if we hold coins with small transaction volume, I think it's better to sell to reduce losses

It makes no logical sense to sell an altcoin right at the very bottom of a market cycle.  Look I know its very painful to see that altcoin you love some much cause you so much grief, and not to mention checking your altcoin account balance looks like a scene from a horror movie.  But I am here to tell you, to hold strong, keep the faith and ride this altcoin storm as we are about to hit a very sweet spot in the market cycle where altcoins will explode in value.  Almost every altcoin is extremely oversold when comparing it to previous altcoin ATH (all time highs) and not to mention when comparing it to the bitcoin rally of late.

ATTENTION: We are about to enter altcoin season right at the very bottom, there will be some explosive move coming....Please hold firm.

It really depends on the situation, some thinks that the altcoin they are holding will keeps on dipping as time goes by. And we didn't know the very bottom of each altcoins that's why our mindset or instinct will tell that it will keep on dumping. But I like your positivity, hold strong hodlers.
