you are very correct in saying that you need to buy at the very bottom, but the problem is that no one knows where the bottom is. altcoins have already updated their lows 100 times

It is not a good idea to sell your altcoin while it is at the very bottom of the market, it would be best more if you are going to buy potential altcoins, not all altcoins, that are in the bottom of the market. If ever it goes on the top, you will surely gain much benefit from it. We should make sure that the altcoin we are buying is the one we can predict to be at the very top next altcoin season but if not, atleast you should see it near the top so that there would be no regrets of buying it.

I will tell you that it is not easy to sell at a very low price! though I will definitely sell my tokens for some reason!
1. the price will be much cheaper and before it happens you must sell it and just buy again at a much lower price!
2. The tokens/coins will be delisted to many exchanges or with the exchange which will result in the more poor market.

The reasons you give about why some investors may sell their coins when they are close to the bottom are not wrong, but they are too logical to me, when people take those kind of decisions they are not thinking rationally they are mostly using their emotions when they sell, at that point it becomes unbearable for them to keep holding their coins, they probably thought that the coin they were holding will recover soon.

And when that doesn't happen the losses they are suffering are too big for them and they keep thinking everyday that they should have sold their coins when they had the chance, eventually those thoughts become recurrent and they can only get away from those thoughts until they sell.

I find it nonsense too to sell an altcoin that is at the very bottom because it wouldn't do you any good no matter what angle you look at. It will only be applicable to sell an altcoin when it is already hopeless but if you can see that the altcoin you are currently holding has the potential to be at the very top as the altcoin season starts, you should think twice first before selling it. You can either regret it or be relieved on what you've done but that's what crypto is all about, risks.

i have many altcoin in my wallet, they like shitcoin, it cant be sell, priceless. sometime i will sell when the price is good, and hold it when i think its too low. im not sure if all altcoin have the season, maybe its apply for some altcoin.

I do not think that it is wise to hold a coin that has already becoming less and less usable in the market. Not all investment plans work so we must be prepared when we need to quit. Sometimes, the investment itself is unrealistic from the beginning due to the lack of extensive research about the project. Indeed, it will e counterproductive to sell the coin at its lowest price but sometimes, we got to let go especially if the developers themselves ran away from the coin. The first instinct you will do in that specific situation is to minimize your losses. But if you think that the decrease in the price is just seasonal, it will be dumb or sell it. This is why it is important to study well the trend and te graph of the crypto market especially the coin you are keeping.

but there is another possibility because the coins being sold have not very good trades and have very bad prices. especially if there are no more updates made by the team, then selling it at any price is the most appropriate choice.
