Right now, the price of ethereum is quite half of the target price you said it could be. But with the altcoin sean coming up, it could achieve more than that. I highly doubt people thay says it will not. Why? because of the latest update that ethereum gonna have, it will surely induce its market price to sky rocket as new people will try to see the new update and accumulate ethereum as their altcoin. Moreover, other altcoins will also benefit that bullish move.

Fud is the architect of many selling their token at cheap expecially when information regarding team not being real/scam. Another reason could be when team are not working on the project (listing on another Exchange or no working product) these may warrant one dumping his or her coins at low rate.

It makes no logical sense to sell an altcoin right at the very bottom of a market cycle.  Look I know its very painful to see that altcoin you love some much cause you so much grief, and not to mention checking your altcoin account balance looks like a scene from a horror movie.  But I am here to tell you, to hold strong, keep the faith and ride this altcoin storm as we are about to hit a very sweet spot in the market cycle where altcoins will explode in value.  Almost every altcoin is extremely oversold when comparing it to previous altcoin ATH (all time highs) and not to mention when comparing it to the bitcoin rally of late.

ATTENTION: We are about to enter altcoin season right at the very bottom, there will be some explosive move coming....Please hold firm.

I'm sure a bunch of people have said this, but there's nothing to say that this is the bottom.  In fact, the fact that you (and many others) are so convinced that it is the bottom means that there is a good opportunity for whales to make money on everyone hodling at this point because they don't want to "sell the bottom".

There's a good argument that the bottom will be mid-2020 at around $2,000.  Which means that selling right now would be an excellent move and shorting right now would yield almost 4x.

are you kidding me? Although the value of the business is currently $ 7 million but the volume is $ 297
I think this is a joke of the century when more and more fomo people are coming to HST every day but it is a genuine shitcoin. Alts like this will have no prospects and hopefully you will gain awareness early and leave this altcoin as soon as possible. I was also cheated by the WPP token, a potential project but actually a scam to investors. Have the psychology of closing a hole and don't try to pursue an unrealistic dream.

5 months have passed after the creation of this thread but until now i cant see the altcoin season that the op talkin about  . the alt season that his saying could be stuck or something blocked its way  . i have heard of that hst token that you are talkin about and the token recieve some good feedback but i dont know if what is the update on that token   . to the question if why would sell an alt at the bottom  ? well because i think the price will dump more . sell and get profit and then buy again  .

It's an obvious fact that the market hasn't been on her best lately, both for Bitcoin and altcoin. Several persons are looking at selling their tokens with the intention of buying when the value is lower. It could seem risky owing to the fact that the bull run could be around the corner and you never can tell when it would commence.

It depends upon the current financial situation of the holder. Currently all altcoins are trading at lower price and its not worth to sell anything right now but sometimes holders is forced to sell his assets to meet out his sudden expenses. Altcoins earned from bounty are easy to sell as no emotions attached to it but if someone has purchased anything at higher price then its difficult to sell the same at low price. Its only the need of money which forces anyone to sell his assets at low price.

Catching the falling knife, this is a bad idea unless you have the professional trading skills with perfect money management or inside feeling to guess what will happen in the market next. Instead of adding to losing trades, I also act professionally and cut the losses before it was too late.

Selling with panic market is indeed the main reason why most traders sell their assets at the bottom, they are not willing to wait and they are basing their investment to how the situations brings them, It's best to make sure that you do know what you are doing in order not to fall with panic selling.

Aside from quick dumped wise investors deals with changing assets,  they do understand how market works and how they can recover just in-case they made a mistake from previous investment.

I think to sell Altcoin right under itself indeed a considerable profit step. Because I do not want to get the loss, so before the greater the loss that I get will be better by selling it now. The best scenario when it was growing again but the worst scenario when it gets down even more just like me with my kickcoin. It's only worth 1 satoshi and i lost 99% of my money. You should know the holding strategy can't be used in any altcoins. You must take care with what kind of coin that you have invested on it.
