I haven't seen something more shameful than this game in my life. You can loose to Roma 3:0 or Liverpool 4:0, but fucking 8 (!!!) goals against Bayern is something beyond embarrasing. I just can't find words to describe how terrible Barca was. Bayern is so good, but this result is something shameful. Coach should resign at press conference before being sacked nad half of squad probably need to retire after this game. So difficult to find words now..

The condition of these 2 clubs is too different.

German teams are doing great, maybe the 1 extra month after the league was and absurd advantage.

That's exactly what I was thinking and I posted here already weeks ago about this. Bayern looked so much fresher and 'hungrier', allways pressing the Barca players and never gave them time with the ball. These short holiday for the German teams definitely helped them. But it would be too easy for Barca to blame it all on their stressful La Liga match plan. They didn't stand a chance today, not at any moment of the game. But in general their form since the restart was very disappointing. I think the days of Setién as Barca coach are over with this match today.

Now I can't wait to see the semi-final with Bayern, presumably against their old coach and ManCity. That will be one hell of a match.

The odd was great for above 7 goals. I wish I had taken the chance. I was a bit hopeful that it might be high scoring but never expected such goal festival. Bayern proved they deserve the trophie although they have to defeat the 2nd perfect team to win the UCL; Man City. That will be an interesting match and may be the best match of this season.

to be fair, if you need goals, you replace a defensive player (CB, fullback, midfielder) with a striker or winger

It's not an excuse, just me trying to explain to myself what just happened. Barca has been struggling since the restart and the team is in desperate need of a change and new young, talented players. But on paper the team that played today should still be able to avoid being completely slaughtered by Bayern.

And yes PSG hat a longer holiday. But almost 5 months without games is rather counterproductive not relaxing.

 Honestly this doesn't even make sense anymore, Barcelona losing this badly? Like this is the barcelona we all know of, the great team that once won like 100 cups one season (ok maybe 6) and yet they became so sooo bad in just 10 years that they lost 8-2 in a champions league game, I can't even understand how they could get scored 8 goals in one game, they weren't a team like this.

 Something has to change, I know president said they are keeping the manager but after this there is no way they could keep him, they should send him away right away. Start over, find youth players from la masia, find young talent overseas and local, do something to change what they are right now, not saying small changes, do something major and no matter what just do it.

 I rather see Barcelona get eleminated in the group stages and finish 5th in the league for a season and be bad for few seasons until they recover and be great once again and fight for a champions league title, instead of watching this measly old team failing all the time. EIGHT GOALS MAN!

I get it where itnis going but that's a bit big score prediction for the next Bayern match in CL. I am sure there are some records broken after Barcelona conceded that many goals. Can anyone list those achievements please? I do know that this loss is one of the biggest Barcelona loss.

This game was a pleasure to watch, finally power and aggression presented against Barcelona. This game was not about tactics as there was no tactics from Barca's side, it was about a mentality and approach of a team that came to take what was theirs. Bayern has individual quality, but they play as a team and have a one track mind.

After first 20 mins I said to my father that this match will be like Germany against Brazil. It was that obvious to me.You could how much more power and determination Bayern squad had.

What I like the most is what Muller said in a post match interview. That it is ok to be a bit happy and that this was a statement indeed, but statement does not mean a thing when next match starts at 0-0.That they are not here to win quarterfinal, they are here to take the final and they need to remain calm and grounded.

The most important thing he said was : We scored 8 today and after you score 8, next matches won't be that easy

It didn't happened yet. Bertomeu said that decisions will be made next week. But if Setien have at least some respect for fans and himself, he had to resign himself immediately after the game. Though, after all, he isn't main man to blame, there is much more changes need to be made, starting from president and ending with half of players.
