This year's CL competition due to the rule change after coronavirus really brought a lot of surprising results.
Some smaller clubs seem to have done better in these conditions.

It's really hard now to predict the final winner of CL.

Thank you Dembele, and thank you Sterling! One of the few people I guess to have put money on Lyon, I lost on Real to beat City, and lost on  Barca to beat Bayern, but it's all made up and much more with this absolute stunner of a result. Sorry I had to come here and boast a little.

I was speechless to see Manchester City's very bad game, I agree Gabriel Jesus played badly, wasting a golden opportunity.
But Manchester City's defense does need to be improved, next season Pep Guardiola must buy a quality defender. The COVID-19
pandemic caused many surprises in the Champions League, especially with Lyon and RB Leipzig qualifying for the semifinals.
But for champions I believe Bayern can win the Champions League trophies.

why is Manchester City such a crap team in the Champions League? why do they choke so much?

Perhaps the Premier League is not that good as many think. In my point of view, it is completely overrated. There is the most money of course and obviously the "best players" play there attracted by the money, but does it mean they play good as a team (except Liverpool of course )? The only English Team made it to the semi-finals in both European competitions this year is ManU.

He may be a great person and an obsessive coach but he has not yet proved that he can achieve great international success with other teams than Barca.

My theory : he overthinks and tries to micromanage to extreme, which I think should not be done at the level he does, also his overload way of playing is creating to much congestion in the final 30 meters of the pitch and if a team has quality, discipline and knows how to defend you actually have harder time scoring then by playing more direct football.

Another important factor I think is his choice of players, he likes players that are too technical, good with combinations and puts less focus on strenght,power and clinical finishing in a player when it comes to attackers and forwards is general. You get a lot of chances that way and you create a lot chaos and that works great against normal teams in a league, but when you get to high end matches and you have teams that are equal or stronger you start to see problems.

So his selection is also a problem in my mind.

I mean Zlatan had to leave from Barca because he didn't fit his style, cmon... Also Mandzukic whom was doing great things for Bayern had to leave because of him too.

I know this is a tip of the iceberg, but I firmly believe this things I wrote are correct or very close to the core reasons why his teams and his style and approach to football has problems on the high end. You need to have perfect players and perfect chemistry for it to work and that is extremely hard to achieve when it comes to that style of playing football.

Man City is out   They just have ruined me. I thougt it to be a sure bet but what the hell happened? I didn't watch the match as I was little sick last night. How come Lyon destroyed Man City, I wish it's a nightmare, man.

Vidal as CAM really irked me, I think they have several more players who would play that position better.

In fact, Vidal was a wrong sign for Barca.

I didn't even get to see the game yesterday, but as happens sometimes, the strongest team doesn't always win, perhaps due to overconfidence in their abilities! Lyon is a tough team and Juventus also paid the price so I was not surprised

Somehow I am more happy with the defeat of Manchester City. Like the previous UCL season. Manchester is great, but for the Champions League their mentality is predictable. I have heard many times that Manchester City is only great at EPL.

3 days crazy in the Champions League. Athletico lost, Barcelona was defeated. And now Lyon. Honestly, the French surprised me a lot after a goal missed. And Manchester City disappointed me with their game.

Manchester city would have tails between legs ATM, there was not another team they would have wished for but Lyon, many had started overlooking the French team -and seeing a semi-final between city and Bayern- football is just excitingly interesting, what would happen if we see Leipzig of Germany and Lyon of France in the final of the UEFA champions league?

So far, my bet is working out for under 3.5 goals. Hope it comes down to two more goals at the most. If the match goes on like this, I'm hopeful.

Accept my condolences mate, the game was above 3.5 goals -you must have known this- not really the team many thought would score the remainder of the goals. In between over 3.5 was a better bet in that match

This year's CL competition has shown that it's very difficult to declare favorites in advance and that all clubs have a chance to win.
One weaker game or less luck is enough for everything to fail.
There are 2 more very difficult matches  in front of all clubs.

It's something incredible what Lyon did. That crazy Sterling miss is still in my eyes . And I just remind that Lyon haven't managed to qualify to Champions league through Ligue 1.
But after all, I don't see any team which can stop current Bayern.
