That has been the rule for a long time it is not fake. I think it is hard to take as a Madrid fan if they ended up losing the final but they did not. Instead they picked themselves up and won. A couple of dangerous shots is usually what you get in these big games. Real Madrid were more clinical scoring 2 goals from 2 opportunities just 1 of them was offside. If Courtois was not playing unreal on the day Liverpool would have probably scored 2/3. Salah alone probably could have scored 2.

First of all, I don't agree that Real Madrid scored twice because it was actually offside. Let me explain.

If the goalkeeper was on the goalpost or behind every player of Liverpool Benzema would not have been offside. But the goalkeeper was ahead of two players from Liverpool the player who was behind the goalkeeper first acted as the last line of defense.
That's why it was offside.
