Argh...profitability is half what it was two days ago when I began mining... Damn. I like this coin, I hope the rate improves.

I can't understand your plan, what benefits for miners if you do that?

Greetings HiroFans Grin

(My 1st post here)

I've taken the advice above & moved to CrunchHarder from ForkPool.

I've only been mining just under 24 hours so no harm done, I think.

Been looking for a long-term coin to mine since the rewards dropped, and PoS Minting kicked in, on ZeitCoin. I think this is it!

LUVVIN' the fact my HD7990 runs 23 degrees cooler with X-11 yet APPEARS to be working harder for my money (compared with Scrypt-N, especially) and very appreciative that HIRO is about as ASIC-proof as coin can be right now. Also liking that the transaction confirmation speed is quite sensible (I had a couple of days mining ROTO2, waiting for even mining confirmations there is more boring than watching Carlisle United Wink )

I can't be super-active here, I've made a big commitment to Zeit & currently hold over 70 million of them, but for sure I'll be keeping an eye on you guys & chipping in when appropriate.

As those who know me in the Zeit Community know, I'm in alt-coins for the long term, my retirement fund if you like, not for the auto-sell, must-pay-for-tomorrows-expresso-today mentality which is the curse of many promising coins.

My best to you all Grin

don't see why the price is falling

All coins are falling at the moment, people are cashing out because BTC isn't doing so great at the moment.
At least, that's my theory.

Yes, you can read the exact same comments from scared users about declining price of their favorite coin on every single thread, pretty much.

That theory doesn't work when you take into consideration that 'all' coins aren't actually falling. Some shit clone coins have gone up quite a bit. Dope coin went up 25% and POC is up more than 60%. It's market manipulation, purely.

I think he means "the whole market is in a downtrend". Which is totally true. Out of 200+ coins on coinmarket cap, only 10 are green in the last 24h.. so I think it's a fair statement.

When did all the alt go boom? When btc price went boom. When do all the alts go down? When btc goes does.

Alts follow btc. A very fair statement about alts would be that they are basically leverage against btc. The rewards is exponential but the risk also. In crypto where you have very limited ways to leverage, alts are great for that.

And what better than to choose the likely new home of GPU miners.

Indeed.

Saying "not true cuz some alts r goin up" is the same as saying "cigarettes aren't harmful cuz my grandad was a smoker and died at 97 years old"

Like I said.  People even admit to instamining it.
