I'm impressed with the continued development of Hirocoin. It's nice to see a dev team this dedicated.

How is this idea : Maybe you could go to the next bitcoin convention, print out some promotional paper wallets and have people import them with the new QR code scanner ? Such a unique function could be leveraged !

Hey I promised to give you a cool free video, so I'm working on a viral with a very famous spokes person.

Stay tuned  !  Grin

I'm very interested to hear ideas from people. I am now looking to spend the majority of my time on Hirocoin as I intend to raise our profile for when the Scrypt ASICs hit. There is going to be a lot of people pulling funds out of Scrypt coins and I want to be on the investors radar. If anyone has a bright idea that I can develop to put us on the map then please let me hear it.

WoW. Just wow!

So many great news in Hirocoin! I especially liked the QR code scan feature of the wallet, with import possibility from my webcam. It should work great. I am eager to try this out.

What makes me happy I have invested in this coin, is the always active dev team and the great community behind this coin. In times when every single coin loses value because of the absence of free resources in the crypto-system (e.g. LTC), I find it amazing how HIRO holds its ground and this is due to the strong team of developers and community. Having a strong team is a white crow in the cryptoworld nowadays. I am already quite sure it will rise soon as the Scrypt ASICs flood all Scrypt-based coins and all GPU miners have to move to ASIC-resistant and power-efficient coins.

I am keeping very close attention to this coin, and I would advise you to do the same Smiley

Plenty of future plans for Hirocoin. Take a look over the last page to see what has been going on. We very recently launched a unique feature for Hirocoin not seen in another coin :p We have the ability to import private keys from QR codes within the client software itself. We would not develop such a thing if we were not aiming for the moon Smiley We are here to catch the flood of people leaving Scrypt coins looking for somewhere good to move their funds to. There will be an exodus and for those paying attention we have proved ourselves.

Right now I am helping Evan Duffield on Darkcoin. We are putting in a solution to secure the blockchain against attacks. It is only going to be a matter of time before X11 coins get the sort of attacks that are common on Scrypt. Hirocoin is secure and we are making sure that Darkcoin is also going to be secure.

Once I have finished working on Darkcoin I will be back and plan to implement a in client block explorer. Sounds like a sensible thing to have.

Good news is that Bitcoin seems to be on the rise at the minute, this is good news for everyone.

Hirocoin - New unique feature just added. We will be the new home for GPU miners when those Scrypt ASICs hit.

I posted this on Reddit but am posting here too so more people can see it. Hirocoin was the second X11 coin after Darkcoin yet is practically worthless. I think the development team has little idea about what to do and the recent news announcement is pointless. What Hiro needs to survive is a sharp rise in awareness and an increase in value. I think the best way to do this is (and please feel free to add your own points):

1)Proper professional PR - i.e. the hiring of a PR agency like Blackcoin

2)A focus on why regular people should use Hirocoin and what makes it better than Darkcoin (as currently I see nothing)

3)Merchant adoption and deals with payment providers

4)Some kind of price stabilisation strategy e.g. Nautilus' NSF but better thought out

5)A reduction in block reward to stop the market being flooded with coins.

6)A new more memorable logo (I preferred the old Godzilla theme)

Yes help by working on Darkcoin which is doing fine and has plenty of people to work on it.  Hiro is "safe" but what use is that when it's price is tanking.  A day is an eternity in crypto.  By the time you get back to Hiro it will be too late.  It won't be long until Bittrex delist HIRO and then it truly is dead.
