I keep eyes on the posts to find generic responses and if anyone does then I delete them (no hurt feeling please). They say gambling section is full with spammers. At least let them admit that cricketing section is not. More power to the community.

Spammers are everywhere Royse(They aren't just exclusively in the Gambling section) and anyone who says otherwise are fooling themselves. The 'Report to Mod' function should only be used only if someone is absolutely sure that the post is spammy because I have observed many people abusing that button on a regular basis in this forum.

Its good that you are self-moderating your threads though since I rarely encounter any kind of spam in your threads.

Yes, i think the spamming would be to talk about the football in the cricket discussion threads.   Other than this i do not find any other discussion related to cricket to be spam. Everyone has their own opinion about the matches and the teams and their opinions should be respected.

Damn Stoke gone for 50 (glad he made his half century) but they couldn't even reach a partnership of 100. If they lose one more wicket before 320-330, Burns alone won't be able to get the score to even 150 then. They should try their best to get a decent score so that they wouldn't need to bat their second innings. Hope atleast Burns can reach 150 today.

At one time burns and Stokes were playing beautifully and 100 lead was looking very much possible but 4 quick wicket ruined the party for England and game scenario came to balance once again. Oz are back in the game now.

Why is Bairstow being sent so low down the order? I don't get it. I think the 4th or 5th position is a better fit for him considering how good he is at striking the ball. Also, Moeen Ali continues performing badly at the moment.

I don't think he will be selected in the near future if his form remains the same. He really needs to score more runs or take more wickets in order asap. At the moment, I think a 50 run lead seems plausible for England.

Because English team has a luxury to sent him down the order. but they can try shuffling Ben Stokes and Bairstow positions.

England could not capitalize and take a big lead even though they had a good start and now they have lost 8 wickets and the lead is barely 50 runs and it will be difficult to bat in the final innings, the match depends upon how Australia is going to bat in their second innings and if they are able to post a good total on the board, either we will have a draw or Australia could win the match if the pitch starts turning on the final day.

When I first read about the news, I couldn't believe it. At first, I thought that Starc might have got some injury, and that's why he is not figuring in the playing XI. You are right its really strange we still have nothing about this why Starc is out of this test as he is one of most lethal weapon of our time and now these 74 runs really going to hurt Australia in this test match as they now need some magical innings from leading batsmen if they want to safe this test.

Damn. This was truly unexpected. Broad and Woakes built a splendid partnership out in the middle under pressure and they have given them a decent lead. If Australia lose early wickets, its most likely England all the way.

Warner has a big job and if he underperforms, the team will rely heavily on Smith again to get them out of this pickle. This will be interesting.

Australia didn't do bad at all. Booked England for 374 runs. Now they (Australia) needs a good start. The top order needs to perform. If Australia can give a target of 250+ runs then I think it will be very difficult for England to chase (agree with JSRAW) since in the fourth innings the pick will have cracks and will not be easily playable.

The partnership between Broad and Woakes changed everything, else Australia could have restricted England to a lead of less than 50 runs. And this is where they needed Starc the most. Nathan Lyon was sending down ball after ball, and he never looked threatening, even for the tailenders. In the end he picked up 3 wickets (including that of Anderson), but he never deserved his place in the playing XI.

Australia needs to follow the tail of England. There are no hurry to score runs, just take time. England was really slow in scoring and why not, this match still has the whole two days plus the remaining times of today.

At this point Khwaja and Bancroft are really playing carefully. I really do hope they put up a good score and avoid giving out pressure to middle order but it's hard to say especially when you are playing against the bowlers : Woakes and Broad.

Btw I am impressed with the kind of player Broad has become.

As you guys know I am not watching the match, just following the score. Will Anderson bowl today? If he can not then it's gonna give Australia a bit advantage.

By the way, this is problem with the Aussie team. See the scoring rate. I feel like they rush to score. They really need to slow down and wait for the bad ball and hit it for boundary.
