I missed watching the last innings so I do not have much to say about it however the first one (World cup final), I will say it was not about him or his innings. It was about bad umpiring and extremely Lucky England.

- What could be a perfect catch ended up with an over boundary: You can not blame the fielder, he gave his best but it was too hard to control.
- Boundary after hitting the bat and awarded 6 runs where it was suppose to be given 5 runs: Not a single players, officials were aware about this error. Umpires should have known it but they were shit at it.

In both incidents, Stokes had nothing to do. He was giving his THE BEST for his country and rest happened because it was destined to be happened.

I will not agree when you say that Sokes had nothing to do with it. At least during the first incident during the world cup finals. Stokes was pushing his bat forward and it deflected the ball and he got 4 additional runs. If he was a real gentleman, then he should have asked the umpire to deduct those 4 extra runs. I am sure that if Kane Williamson was in his place, then he would have done so. 

And I am not sure why such luck happens only for teams such as England or India. I have never seen smaller teams such as West Indies or New Zealand having such luck. IMO, the reason is simple. The umpires don't want to go against the home crowd and they award the decisions to major teams even when they are unsure about it.

It was not intentional. So there are no point to ask umpire to deduct the run or to show any other form of gentleman-ship :-)

Not much with India TBH, it was another way around till 2009-10 (Home-away both). There are countless incidents of bad umpiring. Start with Steve Bucknor- Sachin's dismissals. If it was not for Bucknor, then Sachin could have been made at least 5-10 more centuries or match-winning knocks in World cricket.

I can remember a handful of decision ( One actually) in recent time, which helped India and arguably changed the Game scenario to some extent. 2015 world cup quarter-final against the Bangladesh where Rohit Sharma saved by no-ball and he scored 130ish runs, but it's not even a good example because it turns out to be a one-sided match at the end where Bangladesh lost by 109 runs.

And if you really want to dig some Spicy content then look at India vs Australia 2008 series. Umpiring was pure Gold for both sides

Yeah, It was ugly series for many reasons.

1. Literally shit umpiring, ( recent Ben stokes controversy is cute)
2. Players refused to walk out even edging the ball in slips against spinners.
3. Countless amount of Sledging on personal level, followed by Famous Monkey Gate Saga ( its actually very funny story ) then Ban on Harbhajan.
4. Indian Captain refused to shake hands with the umpires which triggered OZ's tabloid
5. Then in the end Threat of leaving series.

To be honest, umpires can make mistakes and we need to accept it but when things are obvious that these are not mistakes then it turns out bad and it's corruption. The Australia vs India series is a very good example of corruption.

Also the hassle they gave Muthia Muralidharan about his bowling action was also corruption.

What is wrong with ICC? They act so gullible sometimes. Stokes is a great player, but calling him the greatest of all time is pathetic and an insult to all the legends. Whoever is handling their twitter account is seriously dumb for posting such bullshit.

It is evident that someone from England is handling the twitter account  , they tied the world cup but gave that to England and it is the greatest cricketing achievement they had and now in this series after folding to a total of just 67 runs and then went on to chase a total of 359 runs in the final innings is incredible and these two feats by Ben Stokes makes him the greatest contributor in world event when it mattered for England. To call someone the greatest of all time he needs to prove this time and again but the innings he played in both instances are incredible and one of the best i have seen in a very long time.

The margin would have changed or even the result. Rohit was probably around 80 when he was given not out by the umpire. On the other hand, Mahmudullah was in good form in that world cup, 2 centuries in the 2015 world cup.
One more questionable decision from the same match was Raina's not given lbw which wasn't that much accurate. However, don't you think a clear picture of the wrong decision can change the mind set up of a team?
Umesh and Shami had done great but the questionable decision put much effect in the match.

This is why I mentioned that Stokes is one of the best at the moment, but there are so many epic cricketers like him currently like Steve Smith and Virat Kohli who are leagues away from him in comparison.

Stokes still has a long way to go to establish himself as a legend in the world of Cricket, but he is getting there step by step. He is providing terrific entertainment value currently though he still needs to be more consistent.

Correct, no doubt Stokes is one of the best of this modern cricket but telling him all time best is very wrong.

Stokes still has a long way to go to establish himself as a legend in the world of Cricket, but he is getting there step by step. He is providing terrific entertainment value currently though he still needs to be more consistent.

Stokes has better future awaiting and if he continue like this then some day in the future we may tell him one of the all timer but surely not yet.

On the other hand, Steve Smith and Virat Kohli have led their team to victories all by themselves several times. Stokes has done that on a few occasions, but he is miles behind Smith / Kohli.
