The weather forecast says that there is zero chance of rain for the next 2 days. So we need to calculate whether Bangaldesh will get enough time to bowl out New Zealand or not. Theoretically around 180 overs remain in this match. If Bangladesh can add another 150 runs in the next 30 overs, then they can take the lead to 180. And then they will get 150 overs to bowl out New Zealand, which is more than enough. But then the risk factor is not rain, but bad light. If overs are lost tomorrow as well, then it becomes complicated.

There is virtually no chance of 180 overs. In the first test, on average we lost 8 overs every day so it's a good baseline in a bad light scenario. More overs will be lost if the situation remains the same as today's gameplay. Let's say we lose 60 overs, given its bowling deck and pitch is expected to misbehave or explode in a 4th-5th day. I think we'll have a result even if it becomes a 120-over match.

The reason I am expecting a result in 120 overs is because New Zealand and Bangladesh played just 37 and 66 overs in their respective first innings. So their 2nd innings won't be much different as no one is playing defensively.

Both the teams are struggling with the bat so I would blame the host more than the visitors because the condition is alien for them so they are struggling but why the home team is struggling too and scored less than the visitors. Still the game can go either side and with the quality I still bet on NZ and they are known to make comebacks from crisis situations.

Basically, the reason for such bad batting performance of the New Zealand team is the peace of Mirpur Stadium. Where batsmen struggle to bat and spinners get most of the wickets as the piece is currently in the hands of the spinners. Moreover, playing in Bangladesh's field, Bangladesh played a good team against New Zealand and they have experience, that's why they won the first Test match against New Zealand. However, the second test match is not expected to be very good between the two teams so it is difficult to say which team will win the second test. Bangladesh and New Zealand are getting bowled out with neither team doing much, wickets falling more than runs.

Bangladesh needs to be cautious here. They have a lead of 30 runs and already they have lost two wickets. If the target for New Zealand is somewhere around 150 (Bangladesh made 172 in the first innings), then there is a real chance that the Kiwis will be able to chase it down. 250? I doubt that. They will probably end up scoring something closer to 200 unless they collapse like crazy. The kiwi spinners have already begun piling on the misery and the seam bowlers joined in on the action too.

The fourth day of the second Test between Bangladesh and New Zealand is about to begin shortly. Even though there are two days left in this test, I would say that the result of this test will either be a win or a loss because a batsman cannot bat for a long time even if he wants to take the wicket. New Zealand already lead Bangladesh by 8 runs in the first innings so Bangladesh must collect a big one to win the second test even though Bangladesh lost 2 wickets in the first 30 runs. The two batsmen who start the fourth day must form a good partnership, when the two batsmen can form a good partnership in the beginning then the lower order batsmen will get better batting confidence. At this point, Bangladesh leads by 42 runs and IMO they need another 120-130 runs to ensure the victory. Weather prediction is very clear and there is a good chance that Bangladesh may reach their optimal total by the first session itself. That would mean that they will have 60-65 overs today to bowl out New Zealand. If there are no surprises or interruptions, then we will get a result by end of today.

The lead is 113 now, and if they manage to add another 30 to 40 runs in this, they will be in a commanding position to seal the victory and a historic series win.
