Pakistan could not take advantage of the first innings batting and they had to fall into a situation like SriLanka. After losing four wickets for the team's 74 runs, they made a great comeback in the sixth wicket pair by completing half-centuries of both Saud Shakeel and Agha Salman.

But they did not perform well today, especially if Babar Azam could score a century or a half century in this test match today, then the Pakistani team does not have to be under pressure in the last stage. But as usual today's match is not in their favor but for them Saud Shakeel and Salman these two batsmen can fill the void of the Pakistani team if the pair of the two survives.

Expected players have failed to perform. The team shouldn't be much depending on specific players. For Sri Lanka it is De Silva and now for Pakistan it is Shakeel and Agha doing the needful at the right moment. End of day 2 Pakistan trial by 91 runs with 5 wickets in hand scoring 221 runs. I didn't think that Sri Lanka would come back so brilliantly after facing a batting disaster at the beginning of the innings. Sri Lanka's middle order is playing very well. Angelo Mathews was dismissed for 64 runs. Dhananjaya de Silva remains unbeaten with 94 runs. Also Sadeera was able to collect 36 runs. But if Dhananjaya de Silva plays well in the coming days, they will probably collect around 350. I guess both the teams are playing almost similar cricket and none of the teams looking to be dominating this test match. Pakistan are trailing by only 91 runs while they still have 5 wickets in hand. This means that they will either get this target of 312 or maybe bowled out near that score, or perhaps surpass the score but the lead won't be any significant.

The good thing for the Pakistan team is that two set batsmen Saud Shakeel  and Agha Salman are at the crease and both have scored over 60+ runs. Srilanka may need to break this partnership quickly tomorrow so that they can expose the tail of Pakistan's Players.

The partnership is already 120 between Shakeel and Agha. This partnership is certainly going to save Pakistan in my opinion. From 101/5 to 221/5. They have also scored to 21 in only 45 overs. And this was certainly a confident performance from Pakistan. Especially from this pair.

But the problem is Pakistan is still trailing by 91 runs. So they will have to be careful when they start playing in the next day. Because the first session can be very tricky for anyone. They will have to survive the first session. I hope Pakistan will at least be able to get into the lead. But if any of the batsmen who are in the middle gets out, it is going to be very hard for them to do so. Pakistan will have to keep wickets in hand, no matter what. It won't be too much of a problem if they even and the innings by being on the trail for only 5-10 runs as well. But getting a lead is obviously a psychological advantage. No one from top Pakistani batsmen who are famous for making big score able to make fifty. One thing i like in Pakistan batting is to play aggressively 1st inning 241 runs in 45 Overs 5 runs per over in the test is not a cup of tea well played But play aggressively Pakistan cost the top order losing wickets but scored will cross 200. Credit goes to Suad Shakeel 69 run not out in just 88 balls and Slaman Agha 61 runs unbeaten in 84 balls will get a stage where Pakistan think to give the lead to Srilanka. This Partnership is crucial for Pakistan to give a lead of 100 runs but if Sirlanka broke this Partnership it will be Pakistan all out under 300 let's see what happened tomorrow.

For now we can't be sure about the result. It all depends on the tail order performance from the Pakistan team. More 91 runs required to level the score. If a wicket falls, automatically the down players could loss the wicket. The team to set a target of 400+ runs at the earliest will in the match. For now both the teams are equally strong. Lets see how the match turns in the third day.

Looks like Pakistan has the advantage as of now. They are trailing by 91 runs, but they have 5 wickets in hand. At one point they were at 101/5, but the partnership between Agha Salman and Saud Shakeel has taken them to 221/5. The 6th wicket partnership has so far added 120 valuable runs. If they can stay there for another session or two, then Pakistan will easily manage to take the lead. Historically Galle offers extra spin but as of now the pitch is looking good to bat on, hard ball is doing its tricks but the soft ball not creating trouble for batters. Pakistan can definitely fancy some lead.

Agha is out with a score of 83 runs wicket taken by Ramesh Mendis. But Suod Shakeel amazing scored a hundred a well deserved century and played at 112 runs not out. A lovely player he is he plays 6 text match and in every match, he score fifty. Sirlinka bowler does not do well today I think the pitch is now a fever of the batting side. However Pakistan better speciality Saud Shakeel and Agha played well and continue after the wicket of Agha, Noman Ali come and played at 7 not out. The current score of Pakistan is 300 by loss of 6 wickets. I think Pakistan will give a lead of 100 plus runs that a challenge for Sirlinka.
