I don't know whether Jadeja would be playing tomorrow or not as it depends on his fitness. Wicket preparation depends on the curator but yes it is generally a batting track. Kuldeep is an extremely good spinner what he lacks is the ability to bat which is fulfilled by Jadeja. I do agree it all depends on the kind of wicket and accordingly the team management can choose the right amount of bowlers. I think Jurel should be given a chance as Bharat is not doing good in this series previously Rohit did say that he will give chance to all players in the team.

Tricky one IMO.

He's a good candidate for captaincy but he's kind of fragile and prone to injury. If he's not playing any T-20-ODI then he could be a good asset as captain for team India but the way the ICC tourney popping up every year and considering the Indian team's FTP it's tough for a fast bowler.

Fast bowlers are more prone to injury than other players but if he is appointed as vice captain then he should be the one to look for future, or it's just unfair on the player who is giving everything and still not considered as someone who can lead from the front. Workload management is very tricky because BCCI is forcing players to play most matches as possible but considering his age and his current form, if he manages to balance his form and workload in this year then I am sure he will be one.

Call it unfair or whatever, it's just that management is clueless on the captaincy matter. They are so clueless that they are not sure if they want to rest Bumrah or not. It's a big giveaway don't you think?

At one point they were looking at Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul but both lost their form and also had some problems with the fitness. KL made a good comeback and if he keep showing enough consistency with the bat then i believe they will hand over captaincy to him.

The South African team is touring New Zealand to play a comprehensive series of two Test matches against New Zealand. There has already been one match in this Test series where New Zealand defeated South Africa miserably by a huge margin of 281 runs. I feel it's good update because the players who are actively performing and not getting chances due to the star players of IPL can be navigated to some extent. But still it's good to form second stride team with more importance like they were in the past so if someone is injured then they can simply replace the player with who can be close to their playing style whether it's batting or bowling but what is happening now is kind of chaotic if one player injures and team combination has to be completed shuffled to fine right one.

If we check the record of these two teams, New Zealand is much ahead of the South African team due to its more experience and more match winning.

The 100 pays less than $150k for the top slot. BBL pay is around $200-300k at best for top T-20 players. Are these franchises willing to hire 2nd or 3rd tier Indian players (including those retired) from domestic cricket for 100k per season? I highly doubt that. I know big or any decent Indian player won't touch any foreign league for sure.

However, New Zealand's Kane Williamson (118,109) and Rachin Ravindra (240,12) played extraordinary innings because of which New Zealand's run collection was over 500 runs in the first innings. However, looking at South Africa's poor performance, it seems likely that South Africa will lose in the second match as well as in the first Test.

Brand and R. van Tonder to bat first ,N Brand made 25 run and lose their wicket and R. van Tonder also same made 35 run lose has wicket and C Fortuin will get out for zero runs.And now D Bedingham and z Hamza has  come to the partnership, now he both  has to perform well in batting to stand  for a big score.

Ok Paddikal is replacement but in playing XI, it's Sarfraz Khan to replace Rahul's batting position, also I heard people shortforming (if it's even word) Devdutt Paddikal to DDP which I find pretty dope, I know it's obvious now, but didn't cross my mind before. Plus, Dhruv Jurel is to replace KS Bharat for wicket keeping position.

Plus, Dhruv Jurel is to replace KS Bharat for wicket keeping position.

Padikkal has been in terrific form so far in the Ranji Trophy. And it will be a big disappointment for him, in case he is overlooked in favor of Sarfraz Khan. BTW, I agree with the choice of Dhruv Jurel. BTW, more interesting is the question of Kuldeep Yadav. Will he get the nod ahead of Axar Patel? Ravichandran Ashwin seems to be confirmed anyway. And I would advice the Indians to go with just one pacer. But they seems to be adamant about Akash Deep making his debut in the third test.

Disappointing start by South Africa, they have already lost 6 wickets on the first day. Not many runs on the scoreboard, just 220 runs. Ironically South Africa won the toss and took batting, looks like a bad decision to me. Rachin Ravindra had a good first test will the bat and now is having a good time with the ball, took 3 wickets on day 1.

Sarfraz also deserves his chance. Regarding Axar, the only way I seem him getting dropped is India decides to replace him with Sundar. Regarding Kuldeep Yadav, he can have his place even without all-rounder getting dropped, look at this playing XI:

Personally, it looks perfect playing XI to me, I'd drop Akash deep and add Sundar as replacement but India is likely gonna go with two pacers so let it be. Though, I'm quite curious to see how well Akash Deep performs.

Also, we gonna see Ashwin complete his 500 wickets milestone in next game.

Although 7th player Ruan de Swardt did half century and Shaun von Berg, both are doing impressive batting. Rachin Ravindra hunted 3 wickets already. I just love his man how a person can good with bowling and batting at time same time

They were 150/6 when David Bedingham got out. But then South Africa made a remarkable recovery, with Ruan de Swardt and Shaun von Berg fighting it out in the middle. Neil Wagner was controversially included in the playing XI ahead of Kyle Jamieson. He played his last test match almost an year ago, but did a decent job this time by taking the wicket of Raynard van Tonder. Part-timer Rachin Ravindra has so far picked up half of the wickets to fall so far. He has a strong start to his career, and scored 240 in the last test.
