The two Sri Lankan batsmen worked hard in the first innings and in the second innings to score centuries in two consecutive innings but the Bangladeshi batsmen could not score a century in any innings. In the first test match, Sri Lankan team managed to win brilliantly, Sri Lankan team's batting and bowling performance was excellent due to which they beat Bangladesh easily. Sri Lanka just one wicket away from securing victory and Bangladesh 333 runs away from victory. Bangladeshi bowlers have a good start of this test but Dhananjaya de Silva and Kamindu Mendis brought Sri Lanka right back in the game. Not only this pair scored runs in first inning but also in second innings. Disappointing batting performance from Bangladesh in both innings, they were not able to score 200 in both innings.

The first test match winner is the Srilanka team. We have seen the result of the match in only three days three days.
In this match, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka both deserved to win because in the first innings, Bangladesh made a very good effort in bowling to restrict Srilanka to 280 runs but their batsmen failed to do a good performance which may have the chance of their winning in both innings. After having impressive performance against New Zealand in last home test series expectations were high from them, but they have done shameful performance in this first test match and having humiliating defeat which is surely needed to bring new below for them because in both innings they completely fail to have any impact which is surely big decline into their batting strength their quality players are out which mean they need to act quickly for having some better things which increase their confidence and performance level.

In first inning, Tajul have some resistance but then in second inning we have only Momin ul Haq with no support for these in both innings bring huge disaster and huge below for the Bangladesh test format because now many are feeling ICC needs to revoke their test status which is best for the game quality because we have no high hopes from them for any improvement.

Bangladesh team batted very badly on the third day. I would say the Bangladeshi batsmen's performance on the fourth day is quite good.

The Bangladesh team batted perhaps 10 overs on the third day. And they lost 5 wickets to collect only 37 runs. On the fourth day now, Bangladesh has collected 129 runs with the loss of 7 wickets. Mominul Haque's responsible batting saved Bangladesh from losing all wickets before scoring 100 runs. Mominul Haque remained unbeaten on 46 off 112 balls.
Bangladesh team will play one more test match in this tour. And the Bangladesh team could not win even one of the last 10 Test matches against Sri Lanka. They played very badly. Bangladesh will be defeated in the two test matches of this tour.

Recently we have few big names out of the test format for Bangladesh which create huge gape and now things are going from bad to worse for them which is not good because with this result now we have clearly indications Bangladesh cricket is going to face new bellows in test format due to lack of quality and technique which is important in this format if they want to keep alive themselves.

Sri Lanka which is also not good side in this format bowled out Bangladesh in 100 overs and take 20 wickets which is giving all view about their batting quality and future in this format even Sri Lankan batting were also not good but still their players able to manage 4 centuries which give them huge win and lead in this series with most chances we will have 2–0 end of this series for them after watching both team's performance in this test match.

Well to be honest Bangladesh has alot potential to perform at such stage but I think something wrong is going on with them may they are tired or some wrong instructions or tactics or may be wrong squad selection. Anyway they should work hard on thier weak zone because soon they will play upcoming T20 World and if they carry on with such weak Line up then I am sure they will not even won a single match against top side, if we have a look at thier current match scoreboard which is quite worst just because we have seen alot single figure score and even alot duck which is quite disappointed as none of their player has shown responsibility to took inning make decent contribution through partnership in order to put his team out of trouble situation.

Finally Sri Lanka Won the 1st Test Match against Bangladesh with huge runs difference. 1st inngins was okey but when Sri Lanka was continuously collecting runs as they did 418 runs, that time i felt that Bangladesh is going to lost badly cause their performance wasn't good enough in 1st inngins and there were many new face for test, that makes me wonder. After losing the ODI series, Sri Lanka showed us their extra ordinary performance against Bangladesh and defeated their opponent, won by 328 runs. Honestly that's a lots of runs came from Sri Lankan's bat and bangladesh performance was too much poor to discuss. But for Sri Lanka, i calculate that, total 480 runs came from Dhananjaya de Silva and Kamindu Mendis, in 1st inngins and 2nd inngins. They both are enough for Bangladesh whole squads. Specially the most interesting thing was, when i saw they both again made their 2nd time century in 2nd inngins, that makes me goosebumps. They really impressed people with their legendary performance. And Bangladesh needs a lots of development in Test series. I doubt, they won't do well in next test match too

Bangladesh have a big task to accomplish tomorrow, they need 464 more runs and not much batsmen left for batting. Kamindu Mendis scored back to back centuries in both innings and what a test match he has. Kamindu Mendis and Dhananjaya de Silva are the real heroes for Sri Lanka in this match. Still a test match to come after that, so Bangladesh still have a chance to level the series provided they play well in the upcoming match.

The target is very big, and I was sure that Bangladesh will lose this match. Even then I thought we will see some good batting from the batsmen of Bangladesh. Bangladesh's batsmen may reduce the margin of defeat. But every batsman in the top order batted like a fool. We saw very boring batting from Bangladeshi batsmen. The performance of all the players of the Sri Lankan team was outstanding in the first test match against Bangladesh. As the Sri Lankan team bowled well they batted well as well which resulted in them miserably defeating Bangladesh in the first Test match. The Sri Lankan players gave everything they needed to win a match in the first Test match against Bangladesh. The bad batting done by the Bangladesh team should take a lesson from the Sri Lankan batsmen that how to bat patiently and score a lot of runs despite the batting disaster.

Many people took it for granted that the Bangladesh team batted poorly in the first innings but they maintained that consistency in their second innings as well. Only Mominul Haque fought against the Sri Lankan bowlers in Bangladesh's second innings, perhaps his effort to put his team in a strong position. If a few more batsmen like Moinul Haque had played well Bangladesh might have been able to draw with Sri Lanka in this match but that didn't happen either. Sri Lanka took a one-nil lead in the Test series against Bangladesh after winning the first Test match.

I am honestly unable to remember the last time when same 2 batsmen had scored a century each in both innings in a single test match. It was a great performance from them and it was an equally terrible performance from Bangladesh.

I think it is high time Bangladesh dropped Litton Das from the squad. What was that on the second innings? He was chasing a score of 500 and he had two whole days. But he came out and charged like he had to score six from one ball. Of course, the whole Bangladesh team was stupid but that stood out the most.

I am not sure about throwing out Litton Kumer Das from the team. His recent form has been bad, but for the last 3-4 years, he was one of the best Bangladeshi batsmen around. And who will be the replacement to Litton? If you are talking about Mahmudul Hasan Joy or Zakir Hasan, then I have my reservations. They are very inconsistent. Good performances in one or two matches may not be enough to get a higher priority when compared to Litton. Anyway, the second test will start on 30th March. Let's see how it is going to turn out.

^^ They have a reason to worry about him but IMO he's a class act and arguably one of the best batters in Bangladesh. It's just the poor guy is going through a rough patch, which happens to everyone.

Once the team starts to win, Das Babu could come back with the form as well, even if he manages to score 50 odds runs. I think it might happen in the next test match because possibly we'll witness the spin track in the next match and rumors are popping up that Shakib might come back so another boost for the team and openers.

The 1st test match between Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka, was very exciting enough where Sri Lanka won by 328 runs. Sri Lanka scored 280 runs in 1st inngins. That was normal amount of runs in test. Dhananjaya de Silva and youngster Kamindu Mendis made their centuries together. And Bangladesh played below avarage. And twist started from this point when Sri Lanka cross more than 300+ runs in 2nd inngins, i was confirm that bangladesh is going to lost badly cause i don't found good batsman who are in their forum to make such higher score. And then Sri Lanka stopped at 418 runs and what to say about bangladesh! They did similar amount of runs in 2nd inngins and lost for their poor performance.
