Sri Lankan team have improved and stabilized a lot this year and we are going to see competitive tournament in Sri Lankan tour of England. Sri Lankan 1st innings was not impressive, Except for Dhananjaya De Silva and Milan Rathnayake, non performed with bat but looking at England's play we can say the pitch is tough to bat. At the late stage of 2nd day, England are 4 down at 187.

The SiriLankan team is mostly perfect decent at their home ground because they have quality spinners, which really suit with that condition while their opponents feel huge trouble while playing in SiriLankan home ground condition But now things have become really shocking because a part of their home ground thier spinner showed his magic here too but still unfortunately home ground experience makes England have the upper hand on them which is why thier bowling lineup is really on top. I will agree with you. It was really quick all out by the Sri Lankan team. I was expected to at least the 300 run from the Sri Lankan team in this test series. Their openers batsmen are fully failed to do perform and Angelo Methews made golden duck in test series this is really shame for the Sri Lankan team.
And the performance from the England is going good they will definitely cross the 320 runs and also win this series as well.

But Pakistan lost 4 wickets after that Said Shakeel and Muhammad Rizwan partnership done very well and Pakistani team now declared at 448 runs. In which Saud Shakeel made 141 runs and Muhammad Rizwan is still on the pitch and he made 171 runs.
Well now Pakistan has increased their changer of winning of this match. Now Bangladesh is playing their first inning and they have made 27 runs without any loss. So let's what they will do?

Today 2 nd game was stump and Sri Lanka team played their inning and in this inning, Sri Lanka team made 236 runs by losing all wickets and I didn't like their effort and also they made runs in 1 st Inning was also so weak. De Silva made 74 runs and made brilliant effort and other one also Milan and he scored 135 runs in six 4s and two 6s. Start of their inning was very poor and most batsman was dismissal in start and made pressure to next Batsman but these batsman helped them a lot to grab good runs. England already lead this game and also chased all runs of Sri Lanka and they lost 6 wickets and i think 150 to 200 runs more they made and lead. Just because of this we say Pakistan team is unpredictable. They have no consistency they can do anything at anytime.
Well they made a great comeback on the second day. Seriously I was not expecting that the Pakistan will reach to declarations level. But Saud and Rizwan made it. I really appreciate the batting of both 448 runs is a good score. If Bangladesh will play well so I think this match will easily be drawn. Because today is the third day. And if Bangladesh will play the whole day and they will shift to the next day so there will be only one day left. So this will be difficult to finish the both innings in a single day. Bangladesh's bowling line was very aggressive on the first day. But Bangladesh's bowling nine was not aggressive on the second day. However, Mohammad Rizwan and Saud Shakeel both batted well which is commendable. On the first day, Pakistan were under pressure after losing wickets, but the big pair of Saud Shakeel and Mohammad Rizwan helped the team to come out of the pressure. Pakistan's batting on Day 1 looked like they would be restricted to 250 runs, but in the end Pakistan declared their innings with 448 runs. However, Bangladeshi batsmen need to be patient and bat well. Both Bangladesh opening batsmen are batting patiently, they need to build a big partnership between them. The first two overs overview from the Shaheen and Naseem. I am highlighting these two overs because these two were amazing. At the first Shaheen was putting pressure by giving the swings that were unplayable at times.
But on the last two balls, he made the mistake and with an edge, the ball went though the four. However, later Shan Masood decided to give over to Naseem, the first ball of that over was amazing and the batsman just lost his wicket if Rizwan had picked the catch. The ball touched the bat but Rizwan missed the catch. The next balls of that over were full swinging balls by Naseem Shah, no run was there in Naseem’s over. Tomorrow a lot is expected from these bowlers.

One thing that I have noticed, there is no pace in the Khurram Shahzad ball. I just said about his pace, not about his bowling. He was doing good bowling but with no pace, he has such a legendary swing but no pace is here.

Zakir Hasan and Shadman Islam have opened the game for Bangladesh, they both played a decent partnership and the Pakistan bowlers were searching for the wickets but they did not get it. Shaheen Shah Afridi, Naseem Shah, Khurram Shehzad and others have tried to pick the wicket till the full day, it seems too hard to get wickets on this pitch.

The test match between Pakistan and Bangladesh has started from the last 2 days in Rawalpindi, but not too much crowd is there but according to the test matches especially in Pakistan, it is an average crowd.



However, this match has started on Tuesday and on the start of the match, there was rain for 1 or 2 hours but then when the rain has stopped, the players came through the ground to play. I think it's fair to say that Jamie Smith will cannibalize Johnny Redhead Bairstow's test career and IMO would be the first choice WK batter for the next important series.

The sample size is small and against a weak bowling lineup but still, you have to perform to touch 65 odd average in the red ball and it's not like Bairstow was performing consistently so maybe Jamie Smith won't be a bad choice. I dare to say, maybe even against India and Australia.

Too early to predict anything like this. Jamie Smith has showed a lot of promise. But then, this is just his 4th test match and he can't even be compared to Jonny Bairstow who has 100 test caps to his name. But age is on his side. Bairstow is almost 35, while Jamie is just 24. Anyway, England is leading by 23 runs, with the loss of 6 wickets. Surprised by the Lankans. They are fighting to the tooth and nail. Now tailenders are at the other end, and if Sri Lanka can get them out quickly, then they will stay in this match.

I won't sugarcoat much because IMHO if you have to make a list of the top 10 worst batters in test history, who played 100 test matches then Bairstow would make it into that list every single time.

He did contribute during Bazball era but only at home and ngl he looked like a headless chicken in the last 10-14 outing, one of the reasons he was rested (Dropped actually) from their home season. It's quite evident that England are searching for an option and Jamie Smith seems to be a good bet, considering another contender Ben Foakes is a bit dull with the bat despite being a skilled and top gloveman.

Shadman Islam is set on crease, played a lot of deliverie and is currently batting at 17 runs, and Najmul Hossain Shanto Captain of the Bangladesh team is also playing well at 11 runs. Now Bangladesh trail by more than 400 runs. I think this pitch is batting and didn't helped for bowlers so test match might be drwan.

Thus it is never possible to win with the Pakistani team having an undesired batting performance, as the players of the Pakistani team scored a big one. Pakistani team players scored 448 runs which is tough challenge for Bangladesh team, Bangladesh team players scored 58 runs in 28 overs for two wickets.

 Although the number of wickets fell was high in the beginning of the Pakistan team, but later they put up a patient batting performance. But I can see that Bangladesh team lacks such patient batsmen, but if the run rate continues like this, when will it be difficult for Bangladesh team to meet the target of 448 runs.

In the match between England and Srilanka, England got the lead of 23 runs and still had 4 wickets in hand. England will be looking to extend this lead as much as possible. England's top order failed, but thanks to their middle order they are in a comfortable position. Jamie Smith is playing with intent and his wicket will be the key for Sri Lanka if they want to restrict England to a 50-run lead.

Pakistani batsmen have done their duty properly. Pakistani batsmen have done a good batting. The team lost three wickets for just 16 runs. However, due to the performances of Shakeel, Rizwan and Saim Ayub, Pakistan team scored 448 runs with the loss of only 6 wickets. This is a huge score considering the pitch. On the other hand Bangladeshi batsmen are not experienced in Test format. So it's a big score for Bangladesh too.

As usual we are not seeing good batting from the Bangladeshi batsmen. Although I did not expect to see good batting from Bangladeshi batsmen. Bangladesh team has already lost two wickets of Zakir and Captain Shanto. Shadman 26 and Mominul 7 runs unbeaten Bangladesh collect 67/2. Bangladesh team is still behind by a big gap of 381 runs.

There is no clear winer for the Manchester test as yet because if Sri Lanka team was out early at 236 runs, the England team response was not that good too. When the 2nd day ended, they were 259 runs with 6 wickets down. Jamie Smith  is playing at 72 runs but he is running short of partners at the other end. The Match may tilt towards England if he and remaining England batsmen get a good lead. If they are out early, the match will be in level mode.

Right now Bangladesh team is in a very good position. To be honest, I have not seen such responsible batting from Bangladeshi batsmen for a long time. At the moment, Bangladesh has collected 134 runs with the loss of only 2 wickets. Bangladesh lost their first two wickets very quickly. Shanto added only 16 runs and Zakir only 12 runs on the scoreboard. Zakir's strike rate was only 20. But his innings did not last long.

Bangladesh mustered 134 in 48 overs by lunch break. Shadman Islam collected 53 runs from 123 balls and Muminul Haque collected 45 runs from 66 balls unbeaten. The Pakistan captain has used only 5 of his bowlers so far. But no bowler is able to take advantage today.

Bangladesh still need to collect 314 runs. I am not sure if Bangladesh can collect big if the Shadman-Muminul pair is broken. We have seen many times that the top order of Bangladesh has batted well but the performance of the middle order players has been very poor.

Bangladesh team Shadman Islam is a very patient batsman as he entered the field as the first opener, and he gave a full performance in this first innings today. And collected 93 runs from 177 balls with a long patient batting performance. And the century is stuck for just a few runs, but he is now batting patiently to score a century. 
Mushfiqur Rahim took over the bat after Mominul Hoque got out and has been fine in the field so far. But if Shadman can create a partnership with Islam then there will definitely be a chance for the Bangladesh team to win. Because only 253 runs are needed then the Bangladesh team can win the first series.
