The run target to win was really low, but if Sri Lanka had done well in bowling, the match might have been suspenseful.  The Sri Lankan bowlers did not land as much as they tried, but their effort was worth watching.  The Bangladeshi batsmen felt a bit of pressure in the beginning, but gradually their game improved.  During the match, the spectators were in suspense whether New Bangladesh would be able to chase down the target or not. Lankan captain should have used Dilshan Madushanka more effectively. In the end, he could bowl only 8 overs, despite the fact that he was the most successful bowler for the Lankans. But all credit to Najmul Hossain Shanto and also for Mushfiqur Rahim. They rebuilt the Bangladeshi innings after it got reduced to just 23/3. Mahmudullah also played his part, but was unfortunate to get out to Lahiru Kumara. BTW, the Lankans did the right thing by dropping Matheesha Pathirana. He has been very inconsistent lately.

Bangladesh lost the T20 series to Sri Lanka after losing the last match but Bangladesh started the ODI series on a high with a huge six wicket win over Sri Lanka in the first match of the ODI series. Batting on the target given by Sri Lanka, I will not say that Bangladesh won easily because Bangladesh lost three wickets early on but later Mushfiqur Rahim and Nazmul Hossain put on a quiet 150 plus partnership and that partnership took Bangladesh to victory against Sri Lanka. So I think it will be good for Bangladesh if young Tanzid is given a chance. However, the performance of Bangladesh's top order has always been poor. This team can win some matches only because of the good performance of middle order batsmen and bowlers.
