I watched the game between these teams and I saw a back and forth action. It's really fun to watch. I want to give credit to Jones who didn't let his emotion drive himself in the game. Kudos to him. Imagine even the bench of SMB are trashtalking him to complain to the refs.

He have a much higher mental skills than the SMB squad he knows that the opponents is really trying to damage his playing abilities by trash talking and trying to bring him to emotional game play, but kudos also to his team mates who's keeps behind him and not to allow him to carry everything but to help out whenever he needs them to step forward, game 2 would be and interesting game again it's another test for Jones and the rest of TNT.

And another one that kills them is the outside shooting of TNT. I know SMB will do changes next game but still... TNT!

My beermen is in bad shape if this kind of game continues to happen.the shooting from outside of tnt is very consistent that the San Miguel men cannot defend

But this is too early to predict since there are 6 games to come(hopefully can reach that final game 7)

Already mentioned here that as much as possible I'm avoiding a per game Moneyline betting on this series. Maybe will consider starting from Game 5 above.

Aside from the usual testing strategies at Game 1 and 2, we can't still avoid the possibility of forcing an extension of the series if you got what I mean.

You bet on TNT, you can't get good odds per game because your TNT will always be favorites, game 1 started with -5.5 for TNT, and I think game 2 would still be the same or higher. I can say +1 for SMB is good for SMB fanatics but I have a little doubt on it after seeing how TNT played in game 1.

I've just realized now that it's been quite a long resting period coming from Game 1 to 2. I thought Game 2 will be tip-off today (PH Time, Tuesday). I see it's tomorrow, Wednesday.

I will now change the deadline of my proposed deal tomorrow, August 6; 11:59 pm, forum time (August 7; 7:59 am; PH time).

Honestly, it's also a risky part on me to give a +1 game to a previous conference Champion SMB. And besides, I can earn more if I will place another bet on a sportsbook. SMB is strong and much more of a contender compared to TNT as a whole. Only because of TNT's import performance that changed the game style of TNT. He really does fit with Katropa's system.

But if it's an All-Filipino Conference, I will not put a bet on TNT but instead on SMB. No one from TNT can completely stop the raging JuneMar Fajardo if it's on All-Filipino unless doing a double or triple-team at him at the paint.

The SMB Beermen will have to pick their poison as they say. They can't contain Jones while not leaving an outside shooter open. For me, i would rather let Jones scores and not involving his teammates and tire him out. Even if Jones will score 50, it is not an assurance that they would win the game. Bring the physicality of the PBA to Jones to frustrate him so he could not focus on the game but also the Beermen offensive guys should also step up, they should pound the ball down low where they have the advantage.

Alaska and Ginebra both have won a piece against TNT, I guess the SMB coaching staff has to review that on how those teams were able to execute to beat the TNT. Jones is a big problem, and in game 1, his 3 point shooting is also good because he was so confident that his teammates are shooting well, SMB with 2 days off needs to put more time to analyze game 1 loss as well, if they can solve the puzzle, maybe they'll win game 2.

In game 1, Jones scored 41 points, they need to limit that to at least 20 and be more physical in game 2.

Basketball is very popular in the Philippines, I think it's the most popular sports in the country.
PBA is the local version of NBA but with lower height average, most of the taller players in the PBA, are Fil-Am o Fil + other genes.

In international competition, the Philippines are also improving but not a good contender like the US or other popular countries.

ATleast you browsed internet just to check how Basketball goes in the Philippines and it’s a pleasure to us Pinoys,and about the height ofcourse we are Asian and born smaller but we compete with the tallest players around the world.and to be precise we beat many of them (ofcourse with imports because Pinot are very Tiny as what you called)

Maybe you may be part of the bettings happening here since this is the championship.

It's part of PH sports culture since the old days that's why it can't just be easily removed as one of the prioritized sports until today. Aside from that, PH now became a contender in Asian Basketball and not just a bonus round for other countries. Talking about International Competition like FIBA World, that is a different story and no way we can expect PH will end up in good standing.

Not a good strategy. Allowing Jones to just score and expect him that his energy will be drained is a risk. This import can play for over 40 minutes a game.

Even they will put pressure on the defense, TNT will surely do the same. The best thing to do for SMB is to give out all of their cards at any cost.

Play like Game 7. Play like a Do-Or-Die. Play as if they will lose, they will be traded. That mindset will push them. However, TNT will also have a mindset like that.

Yeah, magic with the refs. Lol. SMB took a hard time fdefeating a much smaller and less athletic team of ROS so I doubt if they could win the championship against TNT.

What a game 1 beat down. SMB started really well which is unusual because they are known to start slow. I don't know if it's just me but they got lazy in defense and in controlling the board. Well done to TNT.

The series is far from over, you are overreacting, if you are a real fan of SMB, you will be with them in their tough times as well.
Maybe you are getting used seeing them winning games easily because they have Junemar Fajardo who are so dominant in the paint.

I tell you, game 2 is going to be different, people are expecting SMB won't win but it gonna be a different story in game 2, I can sense on the current line.

I would agree with you that it's going to be a different game 2 from game 1 since SMB need to adjust what they have missed in game 1. On the bookies, i can see still that SMB is still the underdog on the line which only means that people are putting their money on the TNT side.
