He was taken by a stretcher after the game, so probably the injury was serious, but let's hope he can play as h is a big factor for the win of the TNT and they need a reliable 3 point shooter who is also a good defender at the same time.

Their next battle is harder as they will face the Meralco Bolts, though its just a sister company but I don't think they will take it lightly.

TNT will be having a hard against Meralco if Pogoy will not play, i hope two weeks is enough for him to recover from that injury.

PBA launches 3×3 league

The Philippine Basketball Association is establishing a 3×3 tournament dubbed “Tatluhan sa PBA,” the league has announced.  “This is in cooperation with the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas, which has been planning this for quite some time,” Commissioner Willie Marcial told the Inquirer on Friday.

To what point that PBA will be having another tournament instead of 5x5 professional games. I think it's all about money and of course players who will join this tournament will bring nothing on international tournaments.

The 1-8 matchup of this playoffs. We know already how strong NLEX is when they have Olu but they've become stronger when they acquired another import in Harris.

We tend to forget how strong the Northport also when they acquired Stand and they have a very underrated import.
Today, they beat the NLEX by 25 points and that is coming from the big effort of their import and stand who scored 39 and 24 points respectively.

The final score was really unexpected, 115-90 and its a big win by the Northport.
now, it should be the Northport which will be the favorites in the 2nd game.

Unexpected? Not really because we saw the NP winning against the NLEX already in the eliminations and they did it again by shutting down Harris with just 12 points on that game yesterday.

Yes I know how strong NLEX is on the eliminations but the NP roster is better than them for me. My stand with this matchup is 55-45 going NLEX but with this win, I will go 60-40 with NorthPort because of the momentum shift.

I don't know but I want to bet on NP for the game tomorrow because I have a feeling that they will make an upset this time. I would like to see NP and Ginebra face on the Semis .

That's correct, Meralco is very deadly and I don't see anyone from TNT who can stop Durhan, even their import.

Pogoy can contribute maybe at least 20 points per game and that will be miss a lot if he will not play, 2 weeks is too long, maybe he can come back but every game matters in this series.

The objective of that league is for Filipino players to be acquainted more on the 3x3 rules as it is very different from that of 5x5. Active PBA players will not be playing on this proposed league so this maybe somewhat not connected to the PBA.

What I like about a Meralco match up vs GSM because the Meralco import can defend Brownlee very well and in the past, he beat Brownlee for the best import award and he could possibly do the same this season.

When Durham's performance is good, its hard to bet against his team, just my observation.

You have no idea about the benefits of tournaments like that. That's already part of the basketball system.

Launching that kind of league will give chance to others to be scout by teams. Players that can't afford to enroll in top universities that is good at basketball will able to showcase their skills. Money? Of course, sponsorship will be made but that will benefit the company too since PBA is a big market. I don't know why you are negative about this. It's not the first time I believed and they held the same event back then although not an official league to what it's planning right now.

I don't know what adjustment would coach Yeng will do for tonight's game but for sure the pressure to win this game is on them because they ranked no.1 after the elimination. With the suspension of Erram, NorthPort's chance to enter the semis has increased because he is one of those guys that can effectively guard Cstand. NorthPort's confidence is high after beating NLEX twice in a row so i'm betting for them.

It was a good game, the NLEX win against NorthPort even the NorthPort is twice to beat. Ravena and his team got chocked and it is the reeason why they lose. I didn't concentrate watching the full game but I notice that C stand and Michael Qualls, their import, did not even take a rest, maybe their rest was only the half time but they were so aggressive in the 2nd half and they were able to come back.

Overall, I think both teams really gave their all but Northport are just luckier to win, no worries, that game is classic.

Thanks for sharing this information, I will participate in this fun betting games.
It's a good initiative since no series bet is available in any sports book, unlike in NBA where its available when the time will come for the playoffs.
Hopefully our crypto sports book will see this and they will consider adding some betting option like that, it will bring more fun to gamblers who like the league.

As always, Nlex choke in the playoffs. How many times did they have done this kind of scenario where they are on top and choke in the end. They doesn't even reached the finals even if they are on top of the standings.

erased by the NorthPort. Both import shows their talents even to the extent of playing almost the whole game or just rested for few minutes.
NorthPort escaped and snatch this one from NLEX.

Forget about the "Choke" thing, that's normal in every game, even Lebron Choke in some of his important games.
The coaching staff should be blame here, their lack of defense allows the Northport to come back and beat them in triple OT.
for us it was a nice game, but for NLEX, its a game that they will surely not forget, locals should step up more for the NLEX and not just rely most of the time with their import.

They should see Christian Standhardinger, NP import, and Anthony as they are the real definition of energy, effort, and hustle.
