After a long time we saw the Barcelona team dominate and win. We have seen Barcelona have a lot of trouble scoring in the past matches. Also the performance of their defenders was very poor. So if the attacking players performed well, the team would be defeated due to the weakness of the defense. But Barcelona's overall performance against Getafe was excellent. Atletico Madrid has probably been one of the most unpredictable teams.
They lose easy matches and win the hard ones, lol. 
They were playing better from the start of the season this time. But they still have some weird results as well.

Barcelona outstanding squad stands strong enough to face any opposition this season, it requires time but everything will just be fine. Xavi Hernandez will have to continue worry in games because he's the headcoach. Despite been the worst elite team this new season, they've managed to reach crucial stages and now settling in for these people that have soft heart. Barcelona started om a wrong foot, they couldn't hold solid ground with Barcelona and now they're having good time relaxing and preparing for more tougher games.

Barcelona has finally won a big game this season without conceding any goal. Considering how the team has played this season, I would disagree if someone stated that Barcelona will win easily against Getafe. Since Raphinah returned, I think Barcelona's performance has improved, but I still don't think they're good enough to compete with any other strong teams this season. At times, they can win games, but other times, they can struggle to draw against weak teams that we thought they would easily defeat. In a few weeks, we'll see if they can continue to play well enough to maintain their second place ranking, but I'm not sure if they will.

I'm not intending to do it actually after seeing the odds (1.75) given to Atletico Madrid. Isn't it too high?    I remember this scenario from an away game against Las Palmas. I might turn out to be right about doubting this one also. I'm not placing a bet on Atletico Madrid to win as a result.

I had doubts about the match because I think Almeria would do everything in their power to win and escape the relegation zone. Barcelona was impressive against Getafe despite missing a couple of clear chances which could have extended their lead further but it was all down to Getafe’s poor performance and high line defending, I don’t think playing such defensive strategy against a team like Barcelona was ideal because they have some few decent attackers that are capable of taking counter attacks and it could have been worse if Raphinha so good at converting chances.

I never believed Barcelona would still be able to secure the second spot after some inconsistent performances in the past but i guess this is La Liga, a league owned by Barca and Madrid. Girona have not been at their best lately but they still have the chance of retaining their second place if they win their match coming up tomorrow. They have gone too far to lose their second spot after giving up the first place to Real Madrid.

Xavi is not a bad coach and I believe he would want to prove a point before leaving the team, if it is not possible to win the title at least ending second place is not a bad achievement for the club.

With five points adrift of Barcelona and Girona, the chances are so slim for Real Madrid to loose any more. Girona has surprised everyone this season and done so well, but sitting on top the table is only certain if Atletico Madrid losses their next few fixtures.

There are some teams that even in their weakest form they will still be able to win some other team because such team is considered weak and doesn't have the capacity to really win the other especially teams that just git promoted from second division, they usually struggle at the earliest part of the season until they will be able to get pass that weakness and will then eventually get a new form and probably get to be better and perform well but some other literally struggle through the Season and may not get the opportunity to go far much above the relegation. The improvement seen with Barcelona to me seems like they met a weak team thst was why they were able to put up with such a performance but they may not be able to get away with such performance in the champions league.

Honestly, I do not expect anything other than a win for Real Madrid. Even though in the previous few matches Real Madrid has probably not been the most consistent. But if we compare them with Sevilla, they are far better. Sevilla who was also decent in the last few matches, to be honest. But that is probably not going to be enough for them to win against Real Madrid. But Real Madrid will have to be careful so that they do not drop any points in this match. Outstanding performances from all of players who scored in this match. Lewandowski is always playing so terribly, he has lost his instinct to be a good striker. It's time for barcelona to search for a new striker to score. Lewandowski is too old for this mission. Finally, barcelona is below real madrid again after girona was consistently climbing up.

Unbelievable result for sure, i could not even imagine this result was happening tot he atletico madrid. Atletico was not fully owning the game. Almeria played better in this game. Even though almeria was losing in the total shoots and goal attempts but it does have better accuracy compared to the atletico madrid.
I could not even believe it how almeria was preventing atletico madrid to get full points. This result will not affect the chance for atletico madrid to qualify for UCL next season.

Maybe today is not that day to underestimate the potentials of Sevilla or even the coach, they've seen some levels of improvement like drawing or sharing points with Osasuna, beating Rayo Vallecano to get three points from them, winning one goal to nil against Atletico Madrid and I tell you this man, they shared points yet again with Valencia.
I believe Real Madrid must have seen this recent development and will not look at them same way they did at the start of the season.
