These two teams will face each other this week, and the match will be held at the Mestalla Stadium, which is the headquarters of Valencia. Bilbao has good results against Atletico only in this season because after all, in the last season Bilbao always lost by Atletico for home and away matches even though only with a score of 1-0. Girona managed to bounce back after three not so good match results, but that was not enough to change the position of the standings and they had to be patient waiting for Real Madrid to fall, which seemed difficult to happen, but Girona has become a competitive team this season and any team cannot underestimate they.

I would say the payment you get should be different, or at least that's what I assume. I understand that there could be some small changes, and nothing major but even the reputation plays a role. However, being third behind Girona is not acceptable for Barcelona and that's why it matters, doesn't matter even if they get all the same things, it would still be a shame for them and fans would feel humiliated and their biggest rival Real wins the league so they would be mocked a lot for a whole year until they do better.

First, I thought Los Colchoneros will not encounter any more challenges after eliminating Real Madrid from the tournament, but now looking at them, they're on the verge of losing. An early goal in 2 minutes of the game puts Athletic Club infront. They're currently leading with 2-0 on the scores aggregate. Big dissapointing results but all hope is not lost because there's still enough time for Atletico Madrid to do an epic comeback. I'm more concerned with Atletico Madrid top striker, Alvaro Morata who serves a crucial purpose under Los Colchoneros boss, Diego Simeone. There's no way they're hitting good number of goals without the presence of the Spanish international. He's not good with footings on the ball but when it comes to scoring goals, don't underestimate him because that's the spot he's destined for.

Atletico Madrid was really slaughtered in the first half of this match. It's astonishing. How big is the contribution and influence of the injured Griezmann to make Atletico Madrid this weak? especially with a very defensive formation, did they really aim to defend when in the first leg, they were behind on a goal, so why did they choose to defend? hmm.

On the other hand, Bilbao can really take advantage of this moment to optimally attack Atletico Madrid. Even though they may not have that big of an attack statistically, they can score goals effectively and accurately, which is satisfying.
