Barcelona was impressive against Getafe despite missing a couple of clear chances which could have extended their lead further but it was all down to Getafe’s poor performance and high line defending, I don’t think playing such defensive strategy against a team like Barcelona was ideal because they have some few decent attackers that are capable of taking counter attacks and it could have been worse if Raphinha so good at converting chances.

I never believed Barcelona would still be able to secure the second spot after some inconsistent performances in the past but i guess this is La Liga, a league owned by Barca and Madrid. Girona have not been at their best lately but they still have the chance of retaining their second place if they win their match coming up tomorrow. They have gone too far to lose their second spot after giving up the first place to Real Madrid.

Xavi is not a bad coach and I believe he would want to prove a point before leaving the team, if it is not possible to win the title at least ending second place is not a bad achievement for the club.

Xavi has been rumoured to likely leave Barca perhaps that's why he's trying his best with the team to avoid losing anymore but instead breach the gap between themselves and Real Madrid on top.

Diaz has really stepped up with about three goals since Bellingham had that injury in their match against Girona. Although Luca Modric and Joselu would play in same role, I think Diaz is more than the favorite for that midfield role.

ThIs is very true especially if in subsequent games the team has been of very bad performance and have not been able show a good performance in awhile, when next they are up with a good performance it will be measured that they are now in a better form than they were previously but then it's not all the time that this assertions could be correct because it could be the team is yet to improve but are just playing against a weak side.

There are some teams that even in their weakest form they will still be able to win some other team because such team is considered weak and doesn't have the capacity to really win the other especially teams that just git promoted from second division, they usually struggle at the earliest part of the season until they will be able to get pass that weakness and will then eventually get a new form and probably get to be better and perform well but some other literally struggle through the Season and may not get the opportunity to go far much above the relegation. The improvement seen with Barcelona to me seems like they met a weak team thst was why they were able to put up with such a performance but they may not be able to get away with such performance in the champions league.

Honestly, I do not expect anything other than a win for Real Madrid. Even though in the previous few matches Real Madrid has probably not been the most consistent. Outstanding performances from all of players who scored in this match. Lewandowski is always playing so terribly, he has lost his instinct to be a good striker. It's time for barcelona to search for a new striker to score. Lewandowski is too old for this mission. Finally, barcelona is below real madrid again after girona was consistently climbing up.
I thought that barcelona will not be so consistent like this but my guess that if the message from xavi to leave from barcelona at the end of season has motivated the players to give special gift to him. Xavi may be also be changing his mind again to stay even longer in the club.

Unbelievable result for sure, i could not even imagine this result was happening tot he atletico madrid. Atletico was not fully owning the game. Almeria played better in this game. Even though almeria was losing in the total shoots and goal attempts but it does have better accuracy compared to the atletico madrid.
I could not even believe it how almeria was preventing atletico madrid to get full points. This result will not affect the chance for atletico madrid to qualify for UCL next season.

Maybe today is not that day to underestimate the potentials of Sevilla or even the coach, they've seen some levels of improvement like drawing or sharing points with Osasuna, beating Rayo Vallecano to get three points from them, winning one goal to nil against Atletico Madrid and I tell you this man, they shared points yet again with Valencia.
I believe Real Madrid must have seen this recent development and will not look at them same way they did at the start of the season.

Well at least after all this time they are struggling with conditions that are not very good finally they can reach second place and managed to shift Girona with a one point gap. But it is only temporary for now because looking at the current situation even though Barcelona now occupies second place but still it is not too threatening if in the end Girona is able to get 3 points in the match they will do in 2 days.

In this game for example, they were playing against the worst team in the league that occupies the last position and that in the last few games they haven't won, so it was supposed that Atletico would have small difficulties in that game but that they would manage to win the game, but Atletico madrid didn't do well in that game, the defense made mistakes and the attack wasted a lot of opportunities, I actually find it very funny that whenever atlético madrid play against real madrid which is a big team, atlético madrid play well, they have a strong defense and good attack that hardly wastes opportunities, but strange that when they play against weak teams they are sloppy

Alaves 1 - 1 Mallorca

In my opinion, this was a very balanced game in which both teams had many opportunities to score goals and wasted them, but I congratulate the recovery that the Alaves are having, in the last 11 games that the Alaves played, they only had 3 defeats, which were in games involving teams very strong like real madrid, barcelona and ath bilbao. Alaves' recovery has made them very far from the relegation zone, while Mallorca is still very close to the relegation zone. and this is not good for Mallorca because if the 3 teams in the relegation zone start to improve their performance then Mallorca will find themselves in a situation of fighting to avoid being relegated and Mallorca's problems are just beginning, because in the next game mallorca will play against girona, which is a strong team, mallorca will probably lose, after playing against girona, they will play against barcelona and will probably lose, they will lose 6 points, they will have to pray that Cadiz will also lose

I agree with you that the fight for the first spot requires a lot of efforts since the beginning of the season but also it might happen to be first when your direct rival start missing points randomly at any time of the season.
Real Madrid missed 4 points in the last three games while Barcelona missed only two. Continuing like that, the gap between these two clubs will shrank and Barcelona could catch Real Madrid. I know this possibility might not happen but Real Madrid have to stop losing random games.
Same goes for Girona which require to win their game to return back to the second spot and Atletico Madrid risk to see Athletic Bilbao taking their Champions League spot..
