Everything is so, except that Chelsea did not make an official offer and everything remained at the level of discussion. Today I read in the news that Barcelona management told Xavi to put pressure on De Jong (promising him to have very little playing time) to leave the club. What a disgrace. "More than a club"  

Barcelona has not any other alternative now. They are in a financial crisis. The cost of the squad must now be reduced. de Jong was asked to cut wages. Alex Telles deal is almost done for Sevilla now. Nice also tried to intervene but it seems like they will fail. My choice also would be Sevilla rather than them as Sevilla are a bigger team and more importantly they are going to perform in the Champions League while Nice aren't. I guess that they would sign a new left-back after this deal is completed for Sevilla.

Even though Real Madrid only signed 2 new players at the moment but Tchouameni and Antonio Rudiger are good players and it's good progress for Real Madrid. I think both Tchouameni and Rudiger will be able to make a good contribution to Real Madrid.
