But as you say, older Barcelona players don't have to compete physically as much in the Primera Division. However, I don't see them making it very far in the Champions League either and they really need some success in order to makle so money back over time and not be forced to sell even more of their assets. The deals are risky and they only way to justify them is a successful season.

At the same time you are right, Real Madrid must be interested in Barcelona staying strong. I remember watching every clasico in the past, but no in the last couple of years anymore. It used to be a gigantic fight when Messi and Ronaldo were in their primes. Not it is not the same anymore.
