In last few years they are losing their grip on La Liga and Champions League which is surely setback but now under Xavi leadership they are improving in La Liga which is surely a positive development even their performance in Champions League is not good, and they are kicked second time in row but now if they are able to have good results at La Liga then surely they can do better in next season because right now their priority is La Liga where they have good result and before break they were at the top of league table.

This is surprising, after reading some of the posts above I tried to find news sources in the local media. They said Benzema's retirement was caused by Griezmann and Lloris, they were not happy if Benzema was together in the National Team. You should read the news properly. Benzema already announced that if he was retiring from the international career which mean if he will not play for frence anymore as he already retired from the national club but it doens't mean he was retiring from playing in the professional football club like real madrid. He has been announcing it before and why don't you even believe that news even when it has officially announced by him? that doesn't make sense to see that if you were not even believe with it.
