This is surprising, after reading some of the posts above I tried to find news sources in the local media. They said Benzema's retirement was caused by Griezmann and Lloris, they were not happy if Benzema was together in the National Team. You should read the news properly. Benzema already announced that if he was retiring from the international career which mean if he will not play for frence anymore as he already retired from the national club but it doens't mean he was retiring from playing in the professional football club like real madrid.
