I wonder what Simeone is thinking about doing after this break ends. Atletico Madrid have had a quite unsatisfying season so far. This is even worse than the previous season obviously because they haven't even qualified for last 16 round in the Champions League. They didn't have a very tough group for themselves in theory. But their performance was just so poor.

I'm not very positive about their La Liga performance either. Because they are very inconsistent here as well. They won only once considering their last five matches. They are just struggling with winning matches comfortably. But I don't think it is related to the quality of their lineup. Because they have a very powerful lineup actually. It must be related to the game plan they have been using for many years.

Atletico Madrid has lost and dropped points against very ordinary teams this season. They have not played well till now. And they have also been very inconsistent in their performances.
They have lost against Cadiz and probably won't win against Mallorca. You know, these are the points they have to secure.
Similarly, they have drawn against weaker opponents.

I really think they need a change of authority because I do not see the team heading anywhere. If they really want to keep the coach I will say that they should make a complete overhaul of the team. But I think it will be a better option to bring in a new coach.

several players have been on ancelotti watchlist for real madrid front line in the second half of the season. As you mentioned, the players that are the target of ancelotti are the stickers that have the best quality. Harry Kane may be number 1 in Real Madrid target in January because Harry Kane future at Tottenham is still a big question mark because he hasn't decided to extend his contract. even richarlison was also rumored to be the target of real madrid for the front lines because richarlison was a deadly duo for vinicius and rodrygo on the front lines. I feel like that's not going to be too easy, this guy is nearly 30 years old, and Real need a great striker for the future. Anyone who is like 25-26 would have been a lot better for them. I keep saying that not getting Jesus this summer was the biggest mistake they did, they hoped for Mbappe and I still think that is a sliver of chance they might, he loves Real, so it's possible.

What I think is that Benzema will be at Real Madrid until the year 2024, he will do nothing more than look for a younger striker, I don't see a 30-year-old player hired by Real Madrid, especially now in the World Cup Some very good forwards from some countries have been seen, however, I would be inclined towards them wanting to sign Brazilians, Portuguese, who are young who are trained after the best forwards that Real Madrid still has, without a doubt Real Madrid will keep Vinicius Jr who is a very good front.

I sometimes worry a lot watching Real Madrid play. Real Madrid is a really good team. It goes without saying, but I wouldn't say that Real Madrid plays well in every match.  They have performed poorly in several matches.  Due to which they have to fall behind a lot. I have seen that when they lose matches they try hard to do well.

Atletico Madrid have unsatisfying performance in this season not only at domestic league but also most disappointed when eliminating at Champion League in group stage and can't qualifying at European League. Atletico Madrid have advantage with totally focus with La Liga because not participants at Champion League and Europe League have many days with taking rest than team still participant at Champion like Real Madrid or team have to focus in Europe League like Barcelona, Real Sociedad and Sevilla.

Mbappe must improves his attitude to play for the club, for his teammates more and he will have to wait for cool down from President of Real Madrid, Mr. Florentino Perez. He is a boss and does not like Mbappe rejection in last days in the summer. I don't think Perez will come back to Mbappe transfer in near future. Even Perez still like Mbappe, he will wait for Mbappe behavior in future before making any decision to buy the player. Perez after a few decades work with many star players, do know that a player like Mbappe will bring many troubles to the club in general.

Haaland and Mbaape are at same level and it's hard to conclude who is better. About behavior, Haaland is better than Mbappe. If Haaland decides to leave Manchester United, many big clubs will open their gates for him but I am not sure all big clubs will have interested in Mbappe.

If Madrid don't fix up immediately I think they're going to have a problem in the future. The need a 9 to replace Benzema. They need a very reliable winger on the right just like Vinicius on the left.
That midfield of Touchmeni, Velverde and Camavinga is not a world class midfield. Velverde is not that guy, I'm sorry. So if Kross and Modric leaves without been replaced with good players then it's going to be a very big problem.

It's good  they're going for Mbappe. They're a proud team and would most likely not go for him again so soon but I'd advise they swallow their pride and go for him. With Mbappe their attack would be much better and have all three forwards that are prolific goal scorers.
If they've fixed that then they can focus on their midfield.

If you look at the names, Atlético have a very competitive team, but they have been showing a weak game for two seasons in a row. Obviously, if radical changes are required, it is easier to change the head coach than the main part of the team. Simeone has been coaching Atlético for too long and this has led to stagnation. It will be interesting for me to see what he can show in a new place, will he really try to implement his favorite defensive-oriented play scheme everywhere.
