There are some rumours about barcelona's transfer

I read in the local media that Barcelona is discussing with the financial fair play of the Spanyo League. According to the rules, Barcelona will no longer be able to buy new players in the winter market. They have spent 103 million euros.

Indeed, I don't understand this rule very well. But maybe they are looking for an opening to be able to make a transfer. For example, selling several players to reduce player spending. 

The only way Barcelona can bring in new players is by selling some of the players they currently have, Barcelona must cut expenses to avoid fair play rules. Barcelona shouldn't go for new transfers in this winter. Because they just don't need any more player. It is good to see that La Liga financial rules are hindering them from doing this. Because they have spent so much money already and they are going to pay a lot of money for the salaries of these players as well.

Instead of buying new players they had better part ways with some of the players in the squad. Depay is close to leaving for example and they should do their best to send him from the team. His departure will help increase their wage budget quite much.

Actually saying Madrid without a big name is clearly in my opinion not quite right.

It would be a big joke to say that Real Madrid is not a big team, in fact they deserve the title of a big team in mainland Europe and even the world. They have a very bright achievement and they still get it to this day. 14 Champions League titles is one proof that they are really a very big team.

We have seen that in recent years that indeed Barcelona's finances are not doing well, even as you say that Barcelona's finances are dying. Many rumors say one of the factors why they sell their star players is also because of their financial problems. Especially in the transfer market last season they spent a lot of money to bring in players they were after like Lewandowski. What I don't understand is when they actually keep a lot of players and don't try to reduce the burden by selling their players.
Free transfers will be their mainstay in the midst of the financial crisis they are facing. That is one way to reduce their swelling expenses. It will be a tough task for Xavi Hernandez if he doesn't bring Barcelona to the title this season with the expenses they incur.

Now looking for a new striker in the transfer market is an obligation for Real Madrid. Barcelona's forwards and midfield are now strong. So now there is no need for Barcelona to buy strikers and midfielders. Now Xavi should consider how to strengthen his defence. Because the main reason for the poor performance in the Champions League is the poor performance of their defenders. Barcelona's performance in the Champions League would have been better if they had better performances from the defenders. However, Xavi may buy a defender in the next winter transfer window. Because he now has to find a replacement for Pique.

I don't think that Real Madrid are in need of signing a striker in January. They should still do just fine with Benzema after his returnal from the injury. Real Madrid don't seem to be depending on Benzema highly from now on. We can easily understand this from the team's and his statistics. Real Madrid have scored 33 goals so far and only 5 of them belong to Benzema. This scenario was much more different than this last season. Benzema was literally carrying the team on his shoulders.

This is of course great for Real Madrid as we can see it as an improvement. They can still fight for the La Liga title strongly and they are doing pretty good in the Champions League also. But at the end of the season maybe they might think of signing a younger and talented top striker anyway. It would be nice for them to get stronger in offense. They can't go on with Benzema forever in the end.

I would guess that it will only get worse for Benzema because he is getting older, anything above 35 and players injure very easily aside from a very few exceptions. This means that Real Madrid needs to get a world class striker, and that's not going to be either cheap nor easy. They really wanted to get Mbappe as we all know, and that ship has sailed, PSG paid so much money to keep him there, I am guessing that after such a huge signing bonus, they are not going to let that happen at all.

I feel like they will try their best for a world class one, and they will want to get Jude Bellingham as well, but that's not going to be easy to do, it's a lot of money.

The defense of Barcelona needs to be strengthened in order to be competitive. They did not perform well when they played against Real Madrid in this season because there was no defensive cover that they could rely on. With the attacking power that Barcelona has, they thought that they could do the job with the attacking power. However, they were not able to accomplish this task. In the end, as they attempted to advance while attacking, they ended up leaving gaps in the defense. It is up to Xavi to fix that problem.

They need a striker for sure as Benzema seems to be off for quite a while...and is really unfortunate for him during the fact that he had the best year of his career but could Real get in such a short time ? Ronaldo seems to be out of question so who's gonna be ? waiting for Mbappe in summer ? or maybe they scout a striker during this World Cup  . Until then , I'm sure Ancelotti will think of something if he won't get a striker in this winter.
