The problem is even if rodrygo has been playing regularly after benzema got injured but he has not given the best result like what benzema did. i do know that if rodrygo plays so well with real madrid but that's not enough.

Rodrygo is not good for a striker position and he is better for position like Vinicius currently has. Both young players can play at two swings of Real Madrid and they will need a new striker to replace Benzema. Rodrygo will have chances to show up his ability but he must show that he has good improvement with time.

Rodrygo can only be played for the short term as a center striker, if for the long term he cannot be relied upon to fill Benzema's position because the center striker is not his real position. True, however they have to regenerate their players, and now is the right time to do that because young players who are being plotted to replace several names can still learn from their seniors who are still in the team and are still actively playing. Instead they have to buy time, this will actually hurt them.

Sooner or later they will play without Kroos, Modric, Benzema. So it's only fitting that they start getting used to playing without those players. So far I see the steps they are taking are very good steps by giving many young players the opportunity to play even by playing with their seniors.

Honestly many player need rotation in Real Madrid squad for next season due their drop performance and has over ages, have Karim Benzema, Luca Modric and Toni Kroos are waiting list player need to replace. Currently, few youngsters already added to squad, and they are giving their best with more changes are inevitable because things are looking for these changes, and they needed things with immediate effect because team performance is going down from last season and these are not good signals with they are doing defence of two titles and both are looking not good for them Barcelona is already having enough quality players those are giving their best and just because of these changes now they are at the top of the league table.

Yes, of course they will use it to increase the strength of their squad to navigate the second round in the domestic league and in the Champions League. Many teams have been waiting for this transfer window, including the 2 candidates for this season's La Liga championship. Most chances they will not do any changes in winter transfer window with just some part-timer striker will be also enough for them but in Summer transfer window they will do better changes and try to bring quality replacements which are need to time for them as well because right now few players are going out of their best, and they need to do things as they are doing for decades few players are already under their radar which mean they will keep in touch with them, and they will try to engage them for having their squad more strong but still it's all needed time with money is never been problem for them and their current coach is also one of the best in this business which can turn tables into his favour without any big trouble.

Atletico Madrid's performances have been poor since the start of the season. Their performance in the previous season made it quite clear that there are several weaknesses within their team. And they needed several talented players to get their stability this season. But Atletico Madrid's management is very stingy. They are not interested in spending money to sign players. Next season? isn't it like that now because the players they have are above average and the 3 players you mentioned like Kroos, Modric and Benzema have been the backbone in the midfield as well as the forwards from the previous few seasons so I don't think it's necessary to wait for next season because now it is like that.
What they are doing is continuing to add some quality young talent at this time apart from regenerating these old players as well as making their young players more mature.
