Yes there has been no definite movement apart from the rumors, but they have got players that I think are enough to make them have a mature squad to be able to compete next season. Most of the players coming in are experienced players, like Gundogan for example, he was one of the players who contributed to Mancehster City's success last season.

Xavi in the match against Vissel Kobe make an experiment, but Barcelona still won, it seems like this pre-season game is quite interesting to watch. If in the second pre-season match vs Juventus, Ilkay Gundogan or Oriol Romeu playing, it will be even more interesting. I think that we shall forget about barcelona. The team has no money at this moment to recruit the new player. Barcelona has not sold its star during summer transfer season. Real Madrid's debt has been stated as €47m. Honestly I think it is nothing for a rich top team like them. They can handle this amount easily. This is even like that despite the Bellingham signing. Of course there is a possibility for them to bring Mbappe in this transfer window also. Then things are likely to get more serious with their finances.

I think the comparison between Gundogan and Declan Rice is not quite right because both of them play in different leagues, EPL and La Liga. They are considered the best recruits by each club, Rice broke the EPL record when he joined Arsenal while Gundogan made a free transfer to Barcelona.
