I don't fully understand the discussion around Haaland because if Haaland wanted to play for Real Madrid, why then didn't he sign a contract with them last season when he came from Dortmund? Real Madrid didn't choose Mbappe over Haaland. Real Madrid had no chance against Manchester City. Those are two very different scenarios that you describe as if Real Madrid had a choice to make. Barcelona have been making positive moves since their new president, Laporta came back for a second time. Last season they managed to get Lewandoski, Kounde, Raphinha, Christensen and renew some important players. I agree with what you're saying, because for that price, it's a very bold move for a young player.
Although we know that sometimes Barcelona's purchases of young players rarely fail but at that price coupled with their financial condition this is really like a step that provides a risk.
Hopefully the investment in this new player really matches their expectations because if in the end this fails then it is a little difficult for Barcelona with their conditions that still have to economise on spending.

Madrid needs to raise funds first before try to buy mbappe from PSG. Raising a large amount of money is necessary before attempting to buy Mbappe from PSG. The only possible option to sell some players which have been getting a lot of interests from EPL club.
