I have participated in a number of projects that experienced an additional duration of several weeks. But this happened around 2017. And at that time almost all who received extraweek succeeded in the project. For now, I suggest you check beforehand how many sales the project has received. If it is large, I suggest you continue to follow. If it's small, you have to think about it because you don't want to waste your time later

This is not advisable for me unless the campaign is also increasing the allocated reward for the bounty campaign participants. However, you may take a closer look at the project itself. If it is more of a scam than a legit project, leave it. It is better to waste 12 weeks promoting a scam than waste 8 weeks more. I have promoted all kinds of projects in the past. Most projects that extend and extend are worthless projects. Which project is it by the way? Is it the one whose signature you are wearing now?

I have done it before and it did not worth it, there is a reason for them to extend the bounty. Usually, it is because they do not meet their target on the sales, by extending the bounty and the sales time, they are hoping they can hit the target in the sales.
I have participated in 2 or 3 projects before, and all of them gave me nothing. They ran away because they can not afford to run the project with limited money.

in my experience, when this happens is bad news because it generally means that the project is not getting the deisred investment and they are delaying the end of the ICO/IEO in the hope they can get a few more USD
But it can be due to other reasons

I've seen worse. A 6-month bounty program was then extended 2 times for 3 months. I remember a bounty program that tooked about 50 weeks.
If the project worth it, then you should continue. But if they won't pay at the end, I suggest you leave.

That depends on your decision and analyzation regarding the project. If you are thinking if that was a good project and you can continue your work and if you are thinking if that was not a good project again and just try to leave your bounty campaign.
I have promoted some campaigns that almost need a half of the year but again the result will depend on the developer itself. There is no guarantee if your that project will be successful in the future.
There was a lot of scam projects that used long term promotion too.
My best advice for you to do your analyzation again, you have joined it in your own risk.
To ask other about that will not give you a lot of solution.
But in my experience only some of long term campaign have ended successfully when the rest become scam projects.

Yes, it was before, it extended for another month and it becomes successful.
Most of the time, those projects who extend their bounty campaigns have one reason such as their raised funds is not enough to run the project.
If the bounty campaign successfully raised enough funds, then the result may be good, otherwise, the project will fail if they don't collect more funds even after extending it.

Its up to you to decide with this, if you think the payment you will recieve is enough for you to add another 8 weeks.
I myself was not agree with this idea, they should add allocated funds to hunters if they want to add another week of promotions.

from my experience, rarely the results are good. on average when I joining in the bounty which was extended the results must have been very bad and worthless.
in other means that the bounty is extended because the project has failed, like failed in crowdfunding, investor didn't interesting with the project.
You are just wasting your time. leave it.

Something tells me that the results is bad already that is why they extend the bounty but if the project haven't start fund raising or the fund raising was programmed to finish at the last week of the extra week added to the bounty then its better to finish what you start

You already work for 12 weeks with that campaign and maybe if you leave you will no longer qualified to get your reward so If I were you, if you want to leave then ask the campaign manager if its ok and if not you'd better to continue and wait for another 8 weeks to see if its really worth it. A big risk if a bounty has extended because you don't know if its still worth it or not, you have to take the risk and make a good decision.

I think it depends on the project. If the developer team is able to provide a rational explanation to bounty participants and also the community, I think the bounty hunter can accept that explanation and continue the campaign. But I think it all depends on us, whether we will continue to the campaign or not because usually every bounty campaign gives the option to leave the campaign in the middle of the road and the stake obtained will remain safe

In my opinion this is a confusing choice, I mean if you go automatically the OP's efforts for 12 weeks will be in vain and unpaid but if the OP persists and continues 8 more weeks it is also risky. I think his decision depends on the OP whether he believes in the project in question.

Actually I've already tried to participate and promote a bounty that are extending their projects way back when I am still a bounty hunter. Being a bounty hunter is very hard sometimes because of those projects or bounties that are extending for some weeks and after the bounty or program they will just scam the bounty hunters and they will not paid them. I've really get some bad experience for those bounties that are extending too long.

I would prefer to look for another bounty, but before you do that you have to ask the manager if you don't continue the extra week whether it will affect the previous stake if yes then you have to stay there. See behind the reason to adding extra week if the reason is because hasn't reached the softcap or hardcap, then that's indication the project is less investor interest, also see the bounty pool increase or not, if not you will get less prize with more long time work.

But not many participants expect additional weeks in the campaign because the work is tedious and again uncertain whether the results will match what has been done.
Usually the team will also give appreciation to participants who continued the work by adding campaign allocations and some managers allow participants to stop without any consequences but with some conditions such as reporting on the thread bounty or to the telegram community admin.
