To all bounty hunters on this wonderful forum i want to know if its advisable to continue with the bounty you have been promoting for 12weeks that got extra 8weeks added more, have you promote projects this long that ends up with good end results? Thank you

This is ridiculous to add extra weeks without adding up to the allocation. Any project that adds extra week is only necessary to add extra tokens to the pool. Well, I have promoted a project for over 50weeks. Team keeps extending the duration without adding up to the pool. At the initial bounty, pool was very cool. But by the end, a pool of 750k$ was drastically reduced to 250k$ you can imagine. Not just that, the token price crashed even before distribution. So I can vehemently say that 70% of projects that extends bounty don't end well.

It depends, are the developers increasing the reward? If not then they are stealing from you, originally you were supposed to work for your tokens during 12 weeks and now you need to work for the same tokens 8 additional weeks, they have added a 66% workload on you, unless everyone receives 66% more tokens then they are trying to pay you less than what they agreed at the beginning of that campaign, if I were you I will ask for what it is rightfully yours and if you do not get it you should quit.

It depends on a project to project and we know in the current bearish market investors are not much interested in ICOs that's why bounties campaigns are extending for more time. I have also promoted extended campaign projects but my experience is not good so far and the result was not as expected.

Whenever extra weeks are added to the bounty campaign it can mean the following things :

1. The campaign is a success and they want to extend it to more weeks in order to extend the promo of the project

2. ICO's/IEO's is doing great and the marketing team decided to trow another round of coins into the bounty pool

3. They re-calculate the bounty stakes and if they low the rewards they can extend it for a couple of weeks ( this is a shady thing for a bounty to do )

Personally the 1 and 2 are the most usually reasons of why the bounty campaigns get extra weeks and you should enjoy it when it happens.

It can mean vise versa too, sometimes there are good projects that extend the bounty because they are still lack of investors and they need to gather more funds to continue with the project.

Good points but I have these to add.

1. The Sales is not going smoothly and they need more marketing from bounty hunters to promote the project further (in some cases, they extend sales as well)

2. The team is just shady, they extend the bounty campaign to delay payment. Sometimes even when the bounty ends, they can still extend distribution date or rather distribute in batchs

Sure, when IOST (similar to EOS & TRON) extended there campaign I wasn't sure whether or not to continue or move onto an entirely new project because at the time the tokens really weren't worth much, but after some due dillgence it was decided that this coin hasn't even launched its mainnet yet, so I decided to rejoin the campaign in hope's of acquiring more tokens, unfortunately I wasn't selected.
 Now the coin is starting to make a turn around and I'm glad I participated at all. Whenever a bounty campaign decides to extend its initial bounty campaign, it's up to the participants to decide whether or not it is a worthy investment.
    So always remember to practice your due dillgence first before reinvesting any time and energy into a campaign!

There is never a guarantee that a project will end up successfully, by collecting enough funds. A lot of projects are prolonging their bounty programmes, because they are just unable to secure needed funds, and most likely such projects are not collecting enough funds at the end.

It all depends on the project and on you. Why do you even support the project?
For the sake of Dene or do you really like the project? If the second, then you will not have a question in continuing to support the project.
Let's say the project extended the bounty, if the project is good, he argues for this and, possibly, will offer additional income through extension. If the project is bad, then you yourself have chosen it.

i personally never experienced that, but if that happens and indeed the project looks and might prove to be successful, then i think adding a few weeks to the campaign will be very good because on the other hand you will also get more rewards. that doesn't matter, because basically you have acknowledged the project will be a success until you are willing to promote the project. so there is nothing to be suspicious about

Maybe they haven't reached the target money they are intend to steal? Haha.

It is very useful and many of the bounty campaign doing the same with their projects two extend it. If you Siri some years before there are many projects doing the same I am those projects on now in a good place.
So choosing the bounty with their project details and the team information are the must known details to examine the good ICO bounty.

The trust in the project matters, 8 week might be long with lots of dilution and worse when the project is not planning to give any reward. Most project recently are extending their campaign because investors are reluctant to put money. all the tactics to get funds had been exhausted and they rarely get funding. I had a bounty for 6 months and at the end the project failed, so the focus is the project's ability to raise enough fund and get on exchange.

If you have followed for a long time and believe that the project is good, that is your choice, I see that your bounty is still in the presale stage with an additional 3 weeks, and they plan to do Ieo in November. I don't recommend continuing, but for your note that projects with "working products" like these have good records 2 years ago, but I don't want to equate them with the current conditions.

If you have followed for a long time and believe that the project is good, that is your choice, I see that your bounty is still in the presale stage with an additional 3 weeks, and they plan to do Ieo in November. I don't recommend continuing, but for your note that projects with "working products" like these have good records 2 years ago, but I don't want to equate them with the current conditions.

Update extra week for bounty campaign give chance for participants miss in early week to get their additional stake, many participants not joining at the first week of bounty campaign, after bounty campaign manager give extra week participants can get double stake, I like if join with middle week of bounty campaign and have extra week.

It's plain and simple they just want to squeeze in some more investment but they never give a clear reason to bounty hunters nor bounty managers. I think a well planned project don't need these extensions. Bounties are heading in wrong direction and now anyone can start bounty by creating erc20 token. We need to be cautious as its not 2017.

Myself too have participated in many bounty projects that gets extended over the next few weeks. There is nothing special or good out of it. One of the bounty that I participated conducted second phase of bounty after few months gap, during the first phase I participated and received tokens which were idle in the wallet as it hasn't got listed. With trust joined the second phase, everything went good and received tokens as the first phase but tokens hasn't got listed till date.

I am not too disappointed if the bounty adds to the duration of time but it must also increase allocation I have experienced things that are very annoying, right when i join bounty, they increase time duration of the bounty and do not increase the allocation after the bounty ends, they make an allocation cut

That is a little too much. That is why I always try to join Arteezy.rtx's bounties. The rules of the bounties say that it will continue for 8 weeks, and so will it. Anyway, that depends on your situation. Ask yourself, is it worth to continue or is it better to leave? Obviously, the 12 week waste of time is not small and you should have a good reason to leave. Or maybe there is another project which you can earn more times than previous one.

depend on the project is, if the project has reached good amount investment, you can consider to continue the bounty

if the project doosnt get good amount, there is no reason to stick on the bounty. you are better to find the another bounty

as far i followed bounty, bounty which added extra weeks often to fail
