Is the noise problem solved ?? I´m very worried about that  Sad Sad If i put them inside a Rack server would the noise be reduced ?? I may have to buy some rack server for them Sad Sad

Someone compared it to a Boing 747 lifting up inside our garage, that´s one crazy thing to have near us

Still loud, still working on it.

In comparison a Jet Engine is 140db so this isn't that bad :p

Known "secret" in the industry:
KNC won't ship Neptune in Q2. They'll get samples in July / August.
They've taped-out in the beginning March, 20nm cycle time takes 4-5 months.
Like other ASIC provider we won't disclose here, they've chosen the interim, problematic 20nm process.

20nm will be replaced by 16nm FinFET next year, for a good reason.

Ask for transparency. It's your money.

I was absolutely astonished to read your post effectively attacking a competitor. It's very easy for anyone to hide behind an 'open secret' as you don't have to name a source .... I find it hard to believe that whoever is dealing with KNC's business at their chosen foundry would risk legal action for them violating the NDA's that will be in place, let alone risk losing their job for breaking company rules on confidentiality. And where on earth do you get your timescales from?

I have no interest in your product or KNC's, so have no axe to grind here, I think what you have done is very unprofessional and may well cause your competitor and their customers unnecessary added stress, and for what? Do you hope to pick up some of their cancelled Neptune orders? And why not mention the 'other asic vendor we won't disclose here' when you're happy to 'disclose' KNC's stuff?

Just remember that secrets work both ways: how would you like it if someone said it was an 'open secret' that you're using asicminer chips? I think you owe the KNC people an apology.

I Can vouch that Spondoolies Hammer chip is not the same chip as the ASICminer chip. same size but different chip.

We're developing our own ASICs. We're transparent from the get go.
Unlike KNC:
 - We don't publish "Q1/Q2" shipping dates.
 - We don't mine and compete with our customers.
 - KNC knows they won't be able to ship on Q2. This is why they came up with 'Plan B'
 - Guess when they'll finally offer the hosting alternative. Probably the last day of Q2

What happened to your $1/GH miner Novello? Got a web site yet? ETA? Is it funded? Is it even real?

If you're genuine and don't want to sell out to a VC consider www.crowdcube.com to raise your money and issue some shares.

March batch - completed, all orders were shipped.
April batch - production starts on the 6th, immediately after the ASICs arrives.
Current production capacity is 30 miners a day. We build, test and ship according to queue.

Starts on the 6th? I thought you said you ship on the 6th.

This is disappointing.

Well, it's nice that you remembered us. Our project is alive and well, but this forum belongs to another company, so it would be quite incorrect to discuss anything relating to it here.

I SAID THEY'RE STILL WORKING ON IT
We are waiting for guidelines (or explanation) from Emerson regarding the PSU.
Once we have the guidelines (or explanation) we will solve the issue ASAP (or post Emerson's explanation why is it mandatory for their PSU to have the fan set to maximum regardless of the PSU temperature).

I have several miners in the lab so you can trust me that I am properly motivated.

It wasn't really attacking, it was quoting an industry analyst that provided information contrary to what KNC is advertising. 1+1 should =2.

KNC lied about their mining expansion. I would never buy from them.
Also its a conflict of interest if you compete with your customers.

KnC said they wouldn't take over 5% of the network.. so... how much do they command at this point in time?
(while preorder customers get screwed over by a big farm which could easily give them cloudhashing like...now.)

Spondoolies may be loud - but they are loud; and delivered.

P&M (Plug and Mine) feature is working (still need to fix icon and time).

Just go to http://myminer.io and find all the miners in your local network:

This is the cloud front end to your miners.  Eventually you'll be able to access and monitor them remotely or via mobile
(wherever they're hosted, your garage, our data center or any co-location around the world)
