I believe that it is impossible to exclude the possibility that Ethereum will come out on top of the cryptocurrency market.  Although it will take a lot of time to surpass Bitcoin in terms of capitalization.  Nevertheless, there are very good reasons for this.  I liked one statement of a person who, for ease of explanation of the difference between Bitcoin ethereum, compared bitcoin with a smartphone application, and Ethereum with appstore, which allows developers to create their own applications based on the Ethereum blockchain.  In addition, one must take into account the fact that the age difference between Bitcoin and ETH is almost 6 years and therefore ETH has already been created as a more technological and more developed product that is several times higher than the characteristics of Bitcoin.  Although the only thing I don't like is the lack of a limited amount of ethereum, like bitcoin.

We can say it's possible that Ethereum will be taking over the market, but we should also try to ask ourselves on its probability, being realistic is very important. It is true that ethereum is still far from being able to replace bitcoin, it would be seen from any side at this time ethereum is still under the shadow of bitcoin. the increase in ethereum alone is always influenced by the increase in bitcoin. ethereum still can not escape the influence of the shadow of bitcoin. can it happen? no one can be sure and believe that there are coins that can replace bitcoin, as well as ethereum itself.

For me, I don't.. I think ETH might even be dethrone by a better coin, and I am betting BNB would do that soon.

and what do you mean by that, it is a fee decrease coin for Binance exchange, and they enforce you to hodl it, when comes to new airdrops, i do not see that this will be viable long run, especially since new coins on Binance are with pump and dump tactic, they stuck in price without enough liquidity after few months (HOLO, MBL, BTT), please explain your vision?

I think its much better that ethereum stays in 2nd place. If it reached 1st it would suffer heavy speculation and its price would drop violently, to a position where recovery would be too hard.

Also, ethereum is faster than litecoin, monero and dash. Yesterday I sent 2 dollars from one address to the other, and the transaction lasted two seconds, with a fee of 4 cents.

that is likely to occur when ethereum has developments that can make ethereum supply limited and cannot be mining anymore and there are developments for the expanded payment system process so that many people will use ethereum to make payments then ethereum will compete with bitcoin and possibly be able to shift bitcoin even if only temporarily.

even when we see Ethereum very popular in 2017, it can't replace bitcoin. in fact, sometimes ethereum makes bitcoin position higher. however, there are already many issues that ethereum is rumored to be able to replace bitcoin in position 1 of the cryptocurrency world. however, to date, this does not yet have solid evidence.

   I agree with you Shasha80, Bitcoin is and will stay 1st place! Ethereum is great, my favorite after Bitcoin,
but we need to be open for other alt-coins. From last years Ethereum has some serious competitors, we need
to be aware of that. Bitcoin is number one coin, for now Ethereum is number one platform, and it will have
to work a lot to stay there. As we can see BNB, Tezos and some other platforms are doing a great job, getting
