The sad thing is the impact of the coronavirus issue will go beyond anything we have seen before. Once the public goes back to leading a normal life it will be clearer how many people seek psychological help for various forms of trauma including that associated with violence, addiction and a lot more. Gambling addiction is something that will be need to addressed at some stage in the aftermath of the post-COVID-19 era.

Where are the live sports on television right now? Those that placed bets pre-coronavirus might have started spending their money elsewhere and the impact of their betting habits was an important reason for me to start the thread.

While staying at home for long lengths of time some people may have spiralled in to betting addiction and some may have simply kept their betting under control or moved on to other things.

@JollyGood currently there’re no live sports on the television, but very soon we shall watch Bundesliga live in action and all though it’ll be really weird to watch those matches without the fans in the stadium, but something is better than nothing right?. Also I had shared a thread out here on how people had switched from sports gambling to betting on marbles, and you’re right too as various news outlets have reported that gambling has only increased during the covid19 phase.

Before that country can resume the sports games, they need to have permission from the government to continue the events because that will be related to the people lives. While the coronavirus still there, every people needs to take care of their life, and they need to give attention if they want to watch the sports event. Same with my country as well. the curve isn't flattening and we are still having 200-300 new cases each day. We still lack testing and have poor contact tracing. There is still no signs of relief and I think the lockdown will be lifted in order for our economy to survive. I'm scared that we are openly accepting new deaths and cases in a few weeks.

I don't see sports taking place any moment here, I think our country will not afford the safety of the staff and players if they can't even flatten the curve of the virus anyway.

Actually this is good because right now, they cannot assure you if this will really end in summer. We badly need to save some money to buy our necessary needs rather than wasting it on gambling. In our country is about to get to the rainy season where most people cannot survive this harsh climate especially those who are living below average. There's NFL, UFC, The Bundesliga, NASCAR, and some boxing matches. La Liga, The Premier League, Serie A and NWSL will eventually have games since their returns were approved.

I personally do not do much sports betting but I do it with friends and colleagues. Some buds with crypto we do bets also but of course we start with only acceptable amounts. So right now all we have to do is just wait a little more before these start again.

Goodnews to sports lovers, happy to see the sporting room getting flavor once again with good friends that understand the meaning of sport. One of my favourite sport so far is the sporting games, during the lockdown I suffered due to some challenge when only sport events can bring. There was no argument of who will win the next match or the trophy, but, happy to see the games resume back for the entertainment of spirited sport lovers across the globe. Can't wait to see lineups for teams after a long break due to the novel coronavirus pandemic.

I hope the event will run without any problem because we are still at the pandemic.
No guarantee if all people will still be protected, but we can apply some protocol to secure the event, and people need to obey the rule so they can be safe from the virus.
I think the players and coach need to practice in the field. If they played, they need to familiarize themselves without having an audience, if the local government doesn't allow for people to visit the stadium.
But people are happy to hear this good news so they can start to place the bets for their favourite teams and win some money.
