Question for all block party contributors, is if it is cool just to contribute hash directly? I have a small farm so depending on what it works out per person can simply point my share of hashrate.

I understand how this can be a little complicated so completely get if a no go, but only one way to find out! Smiley

Willi will answer your question, but:

The question was asked in another thread (willi's long runs). It's difficult to do this, because as you said, it is complicated. Even if you use a worker name different from the hahsrate rented by willi, it makes sharing potential earnings too difficult (counting and dividing by shares submitted etc..).

I thought as much, and it makes sense for the ease & smooth runs... and I thought I may not be the only one in the next and the next making it more and more complicated.

Perhaps a Block Party v2 where people that have a slightly larger rig at their disposal pool up like the rental one does now? Would anyone be up for that?

IMHO if you have that kind of capacity available to you I'd personally stick with Solo mining.

If you group pooled your capacity under one target address, how would you divvy up the winnings should you hit a block?

It sounds like a recipe for a headache TBH. If not from a technical standpoint (which is probably the easy bit) but from the distribution agreement standpoint I'm sure it'd be troublesome even if you're best mates with the people you're pooling resources with.

At least with Willi's block party its a single point of contact and single mining resource, so the distribution is clear from the outset.

Been running for about a week and best share is only 11.7 billion.  Do i need to adjust difficulty or just let it ride?

You're right, division would go pretty much the same way the block party goes and each participant would need to have a minimum hash rate to qualify. It would be a little troublesome and can see it giving issues.

Ah well, was a thought is all. Smiley

Something I've seen and would like to try is to fine tune my solo mining settings, so I know that I'm getting the best odds for what I have. I'm thinking perhaps all the default settings might not be getting me the best chances.

You can tinker till the cows come home. Nothing but overall hashrate matters.

Okay.

Well. I'm seriously considering adding another ASIC to my mining set up. I going through all the planning to make it happen.
I think the hardest part is letting my partner know that I'm gonna adding another miner.

Yes, some big player rent all the Hashpower on nicehash. We have time, no problem.

Yes, some big player rent all the Hashpower on nicehash. We have time, no problem.

It has to do with the transaction fee spike, we have not seen this spike since June, and many blocks had fee rewards of over 1 BTC, I can't run the exact math on this now but anywhere around maybe a 6% increase in BTC profitability, which would translate to almost 6% more rewards and thus 6% more expensive hashrate, right now the average transaction is at 40 sat/Vbtye down from 100 just a few hours ago, so I think this spike is about over and nicehash prices should fall soon.
