Hi guys,
i am not up to date, slept for a while, but still run some S3,S4,S9 and gekkos (soon one S21:) only with free solarenergy.
I am looking for an -pool- which is both, solo and pool 50:50 - So if i find a block i get 50% and 50% will be shared to the pool... does such pool exist?
Getting a small profit without finding a block would be nice^^ Wink

Not exactly what you said but you can have a look here: Lottery Solo Pool Miner Race on ckpool
Based on ck solo pool, 10% goes to the block finder, maybe the block fees too but I am not sure (willi will confirm or not here I guess)

or maybe https://pool.laurentiapool.org/#/ is a small pool too, small hashrate so if someone gets lucky you can have a good reward.

The first block of 2024 is out, congratulations to the winner, will we have luck reaching small miners even before the halving? Just a few days left... good luck to the little miners, let's come and see the block for the little ones too

I haven't updated the proxy code in the solo branch. The code in the poorly named "defunct" branch has the working proxy code, which I should rename.

hank you very much for your answer.

Is there much difference between 10ms and 54ms for the resolution of a block?

Will quote a recent message of kano:

Indeed the faster your share gets to the pool and it verifies it then sends out the block to the network,
the less likely it will be stale and/or orphaned.
--snip--

So 10ms will always be better, even if 54 is already fine and enough in most cases

Hello. Gentlemen, I have a question. Will the mining difficulty increase after the BTC halving? Will there be no point in mining solo for small miners?

No one can predict what will the post-halving difficulty be to be honest...

I think up to the halving the diff will be go higher and higher.
everyone will try to get a block with a 6,xx reward.
After the halving i think it will be more stable or go a little bit down.
But if the price go to 100k or more, than it will also go higher and higher.
I think it is depending with the btc price after the halving.

Best regards,
Willi

Hello. Gentlemen, I have a question. Will the mining difficulty increase after the BTC halving? Will there be no point in mining solo for small miners?

Nobody has a crystal ball and the only thing that remains is speculation. You can rely on experience if you like. Just take a look at the history of the last halvings. Did the BTC price rise or fall, how did it stabilize afterwards and where did it settle? You can try to draw conclusions from this and provide some statistical support for the probability of the prediction. However, this is never a guarantee. The market does what it wants Wink Let's be surprised

Hello. Gentlemen, I have a question. Will the mining difficulty increase after the BTC halving? Will there be no point in mining solo for small miners?
Depends entirely on price action, and there is every reason to believe the price will keep going up. As for there being no point mining solo for small miners - there's no "point" mining solo now either unless you see it as a lottery, and in that regard it will still be a lottery afterwards, just with worse rewards. The reward won't be half though since fees will be amounting to about 10% by then.
