Just checking my rigs on eusolo.ckpool.org pool as one of them just hit its all time best on this server... 21.14 B  Grin only 4900 times more and it would have been a win, well at least it seems to be working even if its not a win.

Code:
cgminer version 4.12.1 - Started: [2024-11-28 19:51:47.967]

Anyway, all seems to be running well, no noticable hiccups.

One thing I have noticed is the reject rate is lower than on the original pool. <=0.00027% the other pool was running around 0.01% on average, so thats got to be a good thing.

Good luck all...

Lower rejects is consistent with a lower latency connection.

Thanks, yes that makes sense.

The long ping issue I was initially seeing has gone away also which is good. ping is typically 25-30mS

Again thanks for the upgraded service CK! Full disclosure my miners are US east coast so my latency almost doubled but I'm still very hopeful (& have moved over more hashrate from now through end of year!)..

I know it's only been 2 weeks & pool luck is still about 30% (roughly 35% if we add EU), but with an upgraded US server and new EU location I'm hoping for a small miner to hit a Block very soon! MaxiPool just got a Block (never heard of them), maybe this pool is next..

Good luck ladies and gentlemen - let's get one or two more for CK Pool before 2025!! LFG!!!

Yeah as I said I would have preferred the server on the east coast to serve most of the world when it was one, but the two new servers' locations definitely provide fairer cover to miners the world over.

I've made a fork of your code base to work exclusively on FreeBSD.  More specifically, going through and replacing the Linux specific system calls and some logic with FreeBSD counterparts. The most significant change being of course the epoll to kqueue conversion.  I'm currently in the process of fixing the logging.  The current implementation seems to be creating a memory leak on FreeBSD.  Not sure why.

Porting is complete and the software is semi-functioning (memory leak issue) and successfully mining blocks on testnet and on a lower difficulty SHA256 fork of bitcoin that I use for personal test/dev.

I would like to ask if you are open to allowing a dual licensing model where for the FreeBSD fork it uses a more permissive license.  I would prefer to publish my current and future contributions under a downstream project with a new name and using the BSD2 license.  Obviously I will be providing proper attribution and making it clear this is a derivative work.

Just a note.

I had a message "User not active - Reset User" come up on the stats page, it seems at around 3:45am GMT there was some kind of drop-out on the server and reporting stopped.

Connectivity to the pool soon resumed sometime thereafter but the stats pages were not being updated until reset thismorning.

Nothing unusual about that.

Can happen if a device is still mining an old block and then submits shares, the shares then get rejected as stale. Presently that seems to account for almost all of the rejected shares on my own rigs, so I'd imagine its the same.

I dont know what the pool difficulty you've been set to but its likely it was only 2 or 3 shares that accounted for the 7000 difference. Its insignificant and perfectly normal.

please write in english here

you can open a CMD.exe on your windows client and start the cammand "ping solo.ckpool.org" and next one "ping eusolo.ckpool.org"
than you get the time in milliseconds to reach the pool server

Best regards,
Willi

The eu node has only existed for 19 days so there was no way for you to mine to it. Also no, I don't redirect anything anywhere, that's up to the miner.

Miners in EU and Africa should use eusolo
Miners in the Americas and Asia-Pacific region should use solo

Hello. I am from Eastern Europe. I have been on solo.skpool for over two years. If I switch to eusolo.ckpool, will all my shares be lost? Two years of mining for nothing?

In all cases, any share that is lower than the current BTC difficulty is always ‘for nothing’. Anything that is not a block is ‘for nothing’ with solo mining. The work previously done is of no importance, only shares equal to or greater than the current BTC diff matters.

You can switch to the EU pool with no hesitation, it doesn't really change anything (except that you'll work with a better latency of course).

Nope, makes absolutely no difference at all.

Its like buying a lottery ticket every week and then expecting the previous week's ticket to matter on the current game, it doesn't count.

The only share that matters is the one that has a value greater or equal to the current network difficulty at the time that it is submitted. Then and only then will it mine a block resulting in the newly mined coins being distributed to the miner that found it.

Additionally, the more shares you submit in less time i.e. the higher your hash rate, the better the chance your miner will submit a share of high enough value to mine a block.

Given its totally random, the only way to improve odds is to increase hash rate so submit more shares in less time.
