fairly new to the pool and have some questions related to workers and data, note: yes I looked through the forum/this post for these answers (searching plus have read about 40-50 pages of the currently 181 pages on this thread) but excuse me if I'm being redundant or a foolish newb:
background: been mining @SOLO CK for about 2.5 months and have recently added a second worker to the pool. Being that I will likely add other workers occasionally and intermittently it got me thinking about data and tracking, ie thus far I've not specified worker names/numbers but now I feel I'd like to specify worker to get more detailed info per workers going forward
questions: A) would adding worker names (ie walletaddress.worker1 walletaddress.worker2 etc) reset my pool data when I look at my stats on the pool (ie bestever, total shares, etc)? Not sure how much it matters, but I'd rather not reset these (I know it doesn't effect the luck of the draw, but I'd like to preserve and maintain these total data points without resetting or losing them)
B) if I were to specify workers and somehow get (very) lucky w/a block, would I then be able to see which worker hit the block? (currently sending ~180T to pool, so.. y'all no doubt know what I mean by very lucky)
C) if I temporarily add additional workers and then remove them (or go on and off with these worker for a few months), would that in some way impact the total data shown (ie would it reset my bestever, etc; again ideally I'd like to preserve this data on the pool)
D) in general, what are the advantages to specifying workers or not.
E) with the most recent block hit on the pool, I noticed CK posted some info that looked like a log entry showing the user that hit. can the average user somehow look up their own logs or any other additional data beyond what is shown at solo.ckpool.org/users/walletaddress
Thanks for any help and thoughts on this in advance. And best of luck to all on this forum! LFG!!

If you'd like to participate with less stake, feel free to check out this " Solo-Mining Group - BLOCK SOLVERS" thread as well. We also send the rented hashrate here to the soloCK pool. The next upcoming round is standard run #016 and the stake is only 0.001 BTC, there are still 4 free slots available. At MEGArun #020 we will be mining at a whopping 100 PH/s and hopefully crack one or more blocks, the stake at MEGArun is 0.007 BTC. To all miners around the world, I wish best of luck ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Name: yoshimitsu777 My stake: 0.007 for run 20 My TXID: 8e6e504833f29142b926558ac6e098212356d341f45996bf22de553456169f2f My payout address: bc1qana6786aa038zcct3w0uasr2qt4l07xs6re7fx My vote for hash rate: 100 P ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Not sure how much it matters, but I'd rather not reset these (I know it doesn't effect the luck of the draw, but I'd like to preserve and maintain these total data points without resetting or losing them) Adding worker names won't reset your pool data, nor your stats. You won't lose your shares details, bestshare, bestever etc.. B) if I were to specify workers and somehow get (very) lucky w/a block, would I then be able to see which worker hit the block? (currently sending ~180T to pool, so.. y'all no doubt know what I mean by very lucky) Yeap you will see the bestshare related to the said worker, for example if "worker.4" find a block, you will see a bestshare (on the dedicated line for worker.4) > at the current BTC difficulty ; so the deduction of which worker found the block will be easy. C) if I temporarily add additional workers and then remove them (or go on and off with these worker for a few months), would that in some way impact the total data shown (ie would it reset my bestever, etc; again ideally I'd like to preserve this data on the pool)
Nope data will be ok. After some time (some days / weeks we don't know exactly) the dedicated line related to the removed worker will disappear, but the stats related to your BTC address will stay ok (I mean the global stats, total of shares, bestshares etc..). When it happens, you just need to sent some shares with the same worker, even after a while, and stats will be shown again. D) in general, what are the advantages to specifying workers or not.
Tracking stats in a detailed way, and being sure every worker is ok as the total hashrate (cummulation of all workers) is fluctuating depeding of the last shares sent. Some superstition too. E) with the most recent block hit on the pool, I noticed CK posted some info that looked like a log entry showing the user that hit. can the average user somehow look up their own logs or any other additional data beyond what is shown at solo.ckpool.org/users/walletaddress Only what is shown on the url you mentioned, but ck is always sharing details after each block solved by the solockpool. If you are lucky, you will have to come and see here the details if you want them. Thanks for any help and thoughts on this in advance. And best of luck to all on this forum! LFG!!

For the newbie - what am I looking for when following the live link to determine if we hit a block?
You want to look at the bestshare status, it needs to be greater than or equal to the current difficulty, currently, your best share on the link you quoted is 143979720328 To hit a block you need to smash this massive number Tho you don't really need to follow that link, it will be over the place. Good luck guys.

Hi all.
I've been slowly updating and testing the solo ckpool code to make it more useful for general use, updating it to work best with the latest version of bitcoin core, added some minor improvements and fixed a few minor bugs along the way. It's been undergoing intensive testing the last week and is in its final regression tests now, solving blocks on testnet. In the next week sometime I'll be planning to update the code used on this pool after testing is complete, along with an updated version of bitcoin core. There will be no changes to the end users and downtime should be almost undetectable. I will give advance warning of when this will be happening so people can plan not to dump hashrates here over that period if that concerns them. As with any update there are always risks of instability but I will only be updating once testing has confirmed it is working to my satisfaction.

Hi all, Just started with solo mining, but i cannot verify that it is connected with the solo.ckpool.org. So i start the miner with: ccminer-x64 -t 1 -a sha256d -o stratum+tcp://solo.ckpool.org:3333 -u (my private but public btc adrress) -p x
but looking at: https://solo.ckpool.org/users/(my private but public btc adrress) nothing is found, when will this be updated?. I get a nice 404 Not Found The requested URL was not found on this server. I clearly misses something simple. i just can't figure out what exactly. Adres is available in pm when needed.
I know the hashrate is super low , but electricity is free today. I suspect your hashrate is so slow that it might take several hours for the pool to register your user, if you haven't already seen your stats on site/users/yourBTCaddy then you should see them soon. Good luck! But you may find a better use for your 3060 and free electricity (ie Kaspa, or other speculative coins, aka Sh!tcoins to some ppl here)

In the netherlands the electricity prices were today down to -40cent (-33 including taxes). So the main purpose was using that electricity during those hours. And I did, earned 6 euro's in that hour. (was not only that 1 laptop ). I like the lottery part in this case, and it is kinda free. the rest i earned already with the energy bill. Don't want to hassle with other coins or invest energy in it to follow the market for every time the prices are below 0.
