I'm also going with RNG on this series but not the handicap though  I can't blame you for taking it since most of the series results have gone 2-0 and the same thing happened in their last meeting during the DPC Tour 3 so taking that juicy odds could easily pay off.

Good for you on winning that bet. I guess I was too bold with my bet but I made another bet that actually recoup what I lost with small profit so yeah its all good on my end



Still pretty much undecided with the next one though. Xtreme gaming -1.5 seems like what I would bet on but its just 2.1 though. Kinda expecting it to be somewhere around 2.5 or something especially because its top 3 on the qualifiers right now

While I'm watching a match for Dota 2 TI qualifier on the NA, I've hovered through the other regions and gone through the Western Europe.

This made me realize that this is the bloodiest region IMO. It's because only 1 will secure a slot and even another 2 teams get in to the last chance qualifier, only 2 from the whole last chance qualifiers qualified teams will get in.

Each region has 2 last chance qualifier qualified team and from that whole point. WEU has got the teams that we used to like and watch like Team Secret, Nigma, Team Liquid, Alliance, goonsquad and from the other regions too we've got some favorite teams.

So, that just made me realized that we may not see some of those favorite teams of ours in the TI that used to be part of it for many TIs.

Yes, Western Europe qualifiers will be a bloodbath because some of the best teams did not get a direct invite. So, if you are a fan of any of these teams, you better watch them on their qualifiers because there is a big chance that they will not be able to play in TI. It will be tough competition so it will be fun to watch.


Group B of ESL Pro League has concluded. G2 ended up on the top spot with 5-0 and assured of the quarterfinals spot. While Faze and Outsiders finished 2nd and 3rd respectively. I thought this Group will be dominated by Faze but G2 beat them in their match. Faze and Outsider will advance to the round of 12 playoffs.

Such a great ending for G2 in the group stage. They crushed Outsiders on Inferno by 16-2 first and finished the job on Ancient after OT. To be honest, I was expecting Outsiders to win one map. G2 continue to get solid wins right after destroying FaZe 2-0. They completed this stage with 5 wins just as Vitality did. New players have started to adapt to the team recently and it looks like the old G2 are back from now on. People are wondering if "FaZe era" has ended from now on. I don't know if there was any such era because Natus Vincere are as strong as them too.

FaZe made up for the G2 loss today by beating BIG 2-0. They are going to play an extra round before the quarter finals of course. I assume that most people were expecting FaZe to finish the group being the leader. They need to use the two-week break well for themselves if they want to win the tournament. This inconsistent team effort won't be enough for reaching even the finale as it seems.

G2 had a good group performance. They should be congratulated. Although Hooxi did not lift the team with his performance, we can say that he showed that he is a good igl. Of course, individual performances also contributed to this. Monesy, niko and hunter are experienced players with really strong aim. He beat Faze big and finished 2nd in the group. It was a good performance again. Either faze or g2 would finish the group undefeated. It was G2 who finished undefeated.

It was even a map they picked. They were actually more experienced on Dust 2 and FTW were much weaker than them on paper.

The biggest advantage the top teams should have is their superior experience and teamwork where as the lower teams often have similar amazing aim but their overall cohesion is erratic and break apart under pressure.  Dust2 is an aim map more then any other, that can mean upset but for BIG to lose to a much lower team is pretty awful, I can only think they were fine were losing 1 map that day and could not be bothered with the extra effort required knowing the overall match was theirs.    My mistake not picking FTW to get a map going off recent BIG results making this more probable.

G2 beating Faze screwed up my multi.  Combined with a lack of 3 maps really not a good set of bets for me sadly.

French President announces Paris Major - May 8-21

The news follows France's president Emmanuel Macron's comments from his pre-election campaign in April, in which he expressed his promise to support the esports scene in the country and his ambition for France to host a CS:GO Major and other esports events.

Macron released a video Tweet on Sunday, revealing that Paris would host BLAST's CS:GO Major in May in the Accor Arena, ahead of the announcement released by BLAST itself.

Good for the scene overall, 1st for France and Blast also.

I'm also thinking of taking the -1.5 on Xtreme it's tempting after seeing their previous series results with VG all 2-0's for Xtreme but i'll probably play it safe once more and go with the series winner then put it on RNG in the grand finals. On the other side, VG's lower bracket run makes me think that they'll at least get one map from Xtreme but still the handicap isn't bad if Xtreme gets a good draft going in the first map.

Chinese qualifier is done. No big upsets happened as both top 1 and 2 made it into the finals with top favorite RNG claiming the slot to TI.

My 2 favorite underdog teams Vici Gaming and Invictus Gaming failed to upset their opponents in the upper bracket. They started making upset wins in the lower bracket but was a bit too late. I'm still glad they matched each other with the winner still traveling to Singapore for the final TI qualifier.

The SEA qualifier will start tomorrow. I am so excited to see the new T1 line-up for the first time. I really hope they can take the final slot. Who knows, maybe this line-up is the one to win TI for SEA for the first time.

So far in the ESL Pro League, G2 have been the most impressive team very interestingly. They performed even bigger than Vitality which are one of the striking teams in the recent times. If somehow G2 even make it to the title it would be a huge turning point for them. This isn't impossible these days. Because not only FaZe but also NaVi are fragile recently. If they don't have their usual consistent performance back then this could mean an opportunity for some different team to win a championship.

A finale between G2 and Vitality wouldn't be bad honestly.    They are both amazing these days and we might be bored of seeing a FaZe - NaVi finale nearly all the time also. Anyway it is still early to make such assumptions of course but the current look of the tournament is like a sign for some change this time.

Yeah, good news there. France seems like wants to be in the center of the esports scene. Apparently, not just CSGO Major but he also plans to host LOL World and Dota2 TI in France as well. All set like a trial for Emmanuel Macron to official including esport games: CSGO, LOL, and Dota2 in the Olympic Paris 2024.

The hype is out. No doubt many esport organizers will have to rethink their planning from now on. Because of the exposure if they were able to make to the Olympic. Sponsorship and advertising deals going to jump at them, and revenue from esport games will increase significantly.

Any maybe it'll trickle down back to the esport betting scene we're in right now.

Agreed. RNG is on TI form already especially Somnus that display a very high level of performance as midlaner on the whole qualifiers. RNG deserve this spot and they are really a monster with Ghost as there pos1. The choker Aster don’t even have a chance after foing on lower bracket because of IG dominant run. I really thought that they can do an upset match but Xtreme gaming wants a rematch but still failed on the championship.

I think the strongest team in DOTA came from WEU or CHINA. SEA region has good and strong teams, but they are still not as competitive as the teams in CHINA and WEU. m0nesy is hitting a lot of good shots across all of their games, and if that guy can stay on form until the end of the Pro League, they can win this tournament and bag the trophy. Every single person in G2 is performing consistently, and is able to do their job as expected of them by their captain. A lot of clutches too on all of their players and IMO, there has never been a team this dominant in a single tournament for a long time since the old  Astralis of 2017 - 2018. I'm also expecting of a G2 vs Vitality finals and see Nuke get picked by either of the teams. Both are extremely good on that map and it's only a matter of who executes faster and who can hit the best shots.

The Grand Finals for North America qualifiers is about to start. The Finals will be between Soniqs and Nouns.

Nouns dropped Soniqs yesterday from the upper bracket with a decisive 2-0 victory. They have an upper hand against Soniqs. But Soniqs is coming from a comeback win against Wild Card in the lower bracket finals. It means they have the momentum and morale going into the finals.

Group C seems interesting:



There are four teams that are big candidates to move on in this tournament. Considering the current ranking of the teams, Astralis seem like the biggest favourite to finish the group as leader. However I don't fully trust them about that. Because I can't say that they have been very consistent against this kind of teams recently. Complexity and HEET can be easy targets for them of course but the rest of them have the potential to beat them. MOUZ have been one of the impressive teams these days and they are still in top 10 now.

ENCE and Heroic seem a little away from their old times. Especially ENCE have dropped down too much in the ranking. I remember them even as the second a few months ago. After losing Spinx their firepower was affected negatively also. SunPayus addition to the team was very good but I'm having doubts about valde's performance here. For now I see ENCE or Heroic having the biggest potential to be out of top 3 in the group among these 4 teams I mentioned.

It's fun to watch his streams too and you'll learn a thing or two by just watching him. For Soniqs, I'm only rooting for MSS and nothing more. These guys already tasted the TI main stage and they have proven in the Arlington Major that they aren't in their best form for TI.

Would have been nice if I was able to chip in my bet for Nouns. Would surely be betting in their favor that's for sure. Soniqs has the upper hand when it comes to experience, but Nouns got the bases covered when it comes to skills and meta.

Seeing NaVi and FaZe in the playoff round won't make the other 2nd and 3rd teams in the groups happy at all. 

Many people were expecting these two to end their groups at the first place as usual but especially NaVi would have been even out of the tournament after group stage. This isn't good for the team of my country which are Eternal Fire also. If they can't finish their group as the first then they might face the best or second best team in the world in the playoffs. I really want Eternal Fire to make a big progress here after making important changes in the roster. The spirit of Space Soldiers will be back for them hopefully. They have had tactical issues especially. Otherwise they are full of players with great aims. They were weak on Ancient due to not playing any official match so I hope they will have solved that issue also until the tournament starts for them.

After game 1, I don't feel the vibe of their carry. That walking up to the enemy without a close support just because you have vision of them isn't wise. Poor decision skills coming from Costabile cost them that first game. Always questionable decisions around the map. Quinn had some instances wherein he also rushes blindly against the enemy, but he makes it up by not committing any mistakes further and just straight up dumpstering the enemy in the mid-late game. 

Props to Soniq for an amazing 3-0 against nouns. Gunnar and co. had that one in the bag. Close games too, but the carry is just.. not connecting with their minds at all.
